$HYPE just flipped $SOL by FDV. $54.57B vs $54.22B. Arkham confirmed it this morning. But the number that actually tells the real story isn't the FDV. It's the circulating market cap gap. $SOL circulating mcap: ~$50B $HYPE circulating mcap: ~$13.3B Same FDV. 4x difference in circulating supply. That means $HYPE still has 75% of its total supply yet to hit the market. The FDV flip happened with a fraction of tokens unlocked. That's either the most bullish setup you've seen in a while, or the most dangerous overhang depending on how you read unlock schedules. ➛ Here's how I read it. Hyperliquid started as a single app. A perps DEX. No VC money, no foundation grants, no ecosystem fund handouts. It grew because traders actually used it and the product was genuinely better. Now it has $1.93B TVL, it's generating more daily protocol revenue than Solana, and its FDV just passed one of the top 5 chains in crypto. That progression, app → ecosystem → L1, happened faster than anything I've seen this cycle. ➛ The revenue piece is what I keep coming back to. FDV comparisons are narratives. Revenue is real. When a chain consistently shows up at the top of daily fee rankings next to Ethereum and above Solana, the market is starting to price something structural, not just momentum. ‣ Hyperliquid 24h revenue: consistently top 3 globally ‣ Solana 24h revenue: meaningful but declining relative to Hyperliquid's trajectory ‣ Most other L1s: not even in the conversation The "revenue chains" framing is the right lens here. In the last cycle everyone priced TVL. This cycle the market is starting to price actual cash flow. Hyperliquid is winning that race. ➛ What I'm watching. The unlock schedule is the real risk. 75% of supply still locked means significant future sell pressure if the team and early community decide to exit. No VC overhang is bullish, but team allocations still exist. $HYPE ETF is also reportedly in motion. If that clears, the circulating mcap gap starts closing with institutional demand on the other side of unlocks. That changes the math significantly. $SOL at $86 is down 71% from ATH with Alpenglow coming late 2026. $HYPE at $56 with most of its supply still locked just flipped it by FDV. One of these two is mispriced. I know which one the market is currently betting on.

This is the 3-step check I run on every token before I size in. Most traders stare at the chart first. I care more about who’s holding and whether the setup is even safe. 1️⃣ Security Indicators If the contract throws red flags, I don’t waste another minute. 2️⃣ Holders tab I check wallet distribution before price action. Too much concentration = easy skip. 3️⃣ Liquidity + Trending Pools I want to see stable liquidity and real momentum, not one random spike getting shilled on the timeline. Ran this process on $TOKEN earlier today on GeckoTerminal. Looked good at first… but holder distribution changed my mind, so I stayed out. That’s the difference between trading noise and trading with a system.
