Edinburgh’s STL planning process is now a de facto blanket ban. 2025 data: ❌ 81.4% refused ❌ 94.6% refused by committee ❌ 97.2% refused for residential-to-STL (excl. commercial) Almost all approvals = office-to-apartment conversions. The tiny number of residential approvals? Severe limits: 6 weeks/yr, 28-day minimums, or tied to current owner. Next week’s Dev. Mgmt Sub-Committee agenda? Another 33 refusals queued up. A kangaroo court in action. This is not fair, balanced policymaking – it’s predetermined economic harm. I think it's safe to say NO-ONE is happy with @Edinburgh_CC. BLANKET BANNING ALL STLS using the 'well it could be residential' trump card, then pretending they're not blanket banning so they can EXTORT money from local business owners through licencing! Heads should roll! Crooks!

@AirbnbHelp 1) Sorry I think you missed that we are hosts. Where is our protection? We’ve never cancelled anyone (bar one due to government restrictions and that took a four month battle to be reinstated) yet we have had guests play the credit card refund call twice recently at short notice
