My gut is telling me to take Reid or Carels at 3? Am I crazy? Am I the only one who is slightly suspicious of Malhotra? I’m not saying he’s bad, but you’d be passing on a top pairing RHD. One has Makar upside, the other is skilled and has piss n vinegar. You can’t have enough dmen, especially ones that are RIGHT HANDED and projected to be 1st pairing guys. Malhotra’s late rise on a STACKED OHL team is just keeping me very cautious… @Hockey_Robinson @davehall1289 What say you guys? #canucks

@ZachClarkePxP Bjorck at 3 is a massive reach imo, even Malholtra u can say is a bit of a reach. My top 3 for me in order is Reid, Malholtra or Carels maybe Verhoeff can sneak in

I'll say it now, assuming McKenna and Stenberg go 1st and 2nd, my picks for the #Canucks at third overall are: 1. Caleb Malhotra 2. Viggo Bjorck 3. Chase Reid Any of those 3 and I am very happy that the rebuild is off to a good start with Cootes, Buium, and this draft class.

@Sapsterr_ It’s not rigged, the concept is what sucks. The fact that the worst team in the league has more than 50% odds to draft 3rd and only 18% to draft 2nd is abysmal to me. Atleast make 3rd the least and bump up 2nd for a better chance. It should apply to any team in that position

I genuinely don't think it's rigged. As an owner could you imagine spending hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars on a team only to be told "by the way this integral part of our system is rigged" The Canucks are just chronically unlucky. They're the saddest franchise in NHL history and will remain as such for the near future.
