বুলডোজারে ভাঙা ধ্বংসস্তূপের ওপর বসে গীটার আর হারমোনিকা বাজিয়ে গান গেয়ে চলেছেন একজন! পথচারীরা অনেকে ফিরেও তাকাচ্ছেন না! অথচ তাতে কিছুই এসে যায় না সেই প্রতিবাদী কণ্ঠের। অদ্ভুত এক বিষণ্ণ অথচ ভালোলাগা সুর... অর্জুন করের সাথে পরিচয় নেই, হয়তো দেখা হবে কোনোদিন রাজপথে! আজ তার গাওয়া গানটি থাকুক— ​নিঃসঙ্গ পথিক (Ain’t got no home) ​অর্জুন কর | হাবড়া ​আমার নেই কোনো ঘর, যেন এক যাযাবর পেটের দায়ে চলেছি গ্রাম থেকে শহর-বন্দর। গিয়ে যেখানেই দাঁড়াই, হাজির লাঠিয়াল-সেপাই চোখ রাঙিয়ে শাসায়, “দূর হ! নয়তো রক্ষা নাই!” ​পরিবার-পরিজন, সকলেই আমারই মতন আশায় বেঁধে চিবুক, বদল হবে এ জীবন। বদল হলো না কিছুই, শুধু বদলেছে ফুটপাত ঝিলমিল তারার চাদরে মুড়ে আমাদের এই রাত। ​বাপের ছিল ভাগের চাষ, ছিল লোকসান বারো মাস গ্রামের মাইল দুই দূরে, দেখি তার ঝুলতে থাকা লাশ। শুনি ভিটেটাও গেছে সরকারের দখলে সেই দিন থেকে আমিও এ সময়ের অতলে। ​এখন যেদিকেই তাকাই, পাই মন্দেরই আভাস গোটা দুনিয়াটাই যেন এক মস্ত পরিহাস। অবশিষ্ট যা সুন্দর, সকলই নষ্টেরই হাতে আমি নিঃসঙ্গ পথিক, মহাপৃথিবীর পথে। ​অবশিষ্ট যা সুন্দর, সকলই নষ্টেরই হাতে আমি নিঃসঙ্গ পথিক, মহাপৃথিবীর পথে…

There is oil worth thousands of crores under the ground, but it is a game of intentions of the government sitting above! Ashoknagar Oil Field is a living proof of how Mamata Banerjee’s TMC government pushed back the development of Bengal by 5 years just because of its political ambitions.
