That really doesn’t bother me. This is NYC. They’ll get by, I’m certain. Nevermind the actual difficulty in uprooting so much. Unless the NYSE is about to go to Miami, these people will be involved in NYC and they’ll be taxed fairly. That’s just how I see it. Again I’m not sure why wanting these people to pay more is so controversial especially on these second and third properties.

@Caneable1978 @WallStreetApes I took plenty of risks. Arguably more than these people who come from generational wealth and privilege and I will likely never sniff a fraction of the wealth they were born into. You can pretend all you want but these people aren’t paying their “fair share”

@NoahTMott @WallStreetApes Why don't they do it themselves in the first place then? The left complain about inequality until they get to apply tax rates unequally to the rich. Then it's ok 🤣🤣🤣

🇵🇰 Jeremy Scahill says Pakistan’s role in the Iran talks is under scrutiny after relaying assurances that did not materialize. He reports Iranian officials were told Trump would “lift the blockade” on the Strait of Hormuz and extend the ceasefire before talks resume. Instead, Trump extended the ceasefire while keeping the blockade in place. Scahill says Iranian officials told him “we don’t exactly know what Pakistan was told,” and describe Pakistani intermediaries as “scrambling” to understand Trump’s shifting positions. After presenting itself as a brilliant diplomatic broker, Pakistan, as a result, now has “egg on its face.” @jeremyscahill | @ryangrim | @emilyjashinsky

⭕️ FT: Pakistan's army chief is the unlikely broker of US-Iran talks but faces mounting doubts over his neutrality and ability to secure a deal 🔹Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan's most powerful figure, has emerged as the surprise lead mediator between the US and Iran where he has been spending days in Tehran meeting not just political leaders but the Revolutionary Guards, while staying in constant phone contact with the White House, the Financial Times reports. 🔹Ali Vaez, an Iran specialist at the International Crisis Group think-tank, described his approach as “a whole-of-the-system approach to mediation”, personally engaging every major Iranian power centre to ensure no faction feels left out. Pakistani officials were so confident Iran would attend a second round of talks in Islamabad that authorities locked down swaths of the city and prepared signs celebrating an "Islamabad Peace Deal." Iran didn't show. 🔹Analysts and diplomats are increasingly questioning Pakistan's neutrality; they have signed a mutual defence agreement with Saudi Arabia, deepened financial ties with Trump's circle, and have avoided publicly criticising the naval blockade or pushing back on Israel's exclusion of Lebanon from the ceasefire.

What's notable about the manufactured "Iran's leadership is in crisis & Trump needed to extend ceasefire for this reason" story, sourced to Israeli & US officials, is: Trump is openly in crisis, made a ton of false claims & flip flopped nonstop because Iran refused to capitulate.

Imagine believing your country which has only existed for 200 years, founded by castaways and land prospectors from Europe who enslaved people and committed a mass genocide of native populations and now has a colonialist empire from Guam to Puerto Rico, is superior to Iran. Calling these people, who have existed for centuries and provided the foundations for math, science, representative government, and even the foundations of religion through Zoroastrianism, “cave men punks“ might be the very reason why we’re getting clowned. And no, I’m not going to debate on it. These are basic facts that any student of history would know.

In a heated Al Jazeera Arabic panel, Iranian academic Hassan Ahmadian pushed back sharply when an American guest cited 40,000 deaths during the January riots and protests in Iran. Ahmadian said the ever-increasing figure serves only to “whitewash Israel’s image” in the region after it killed over 80,000 in Gaza — pointing to Iran’s official toll of 3,117 killed, and noting that it included hundreds of police and security personnel killed by actors Iran’s government has said were armed and supported by US and Israel. The new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, in a statement marking the holiday of Nowruz, designated the “January Coup” the second of three wars Iran faced in a year — along with the 12-day war in June 2025, and the attacks that began on February 28. He described it as a U.S. and Israeli-backed attempt to exploit economic hardship and use armed actors to destabilize the Islamic Republic. Trump himself subsequently confirmed the U.S. had tried to arm Iranian protesters, telling reporters: “We sent guns, a lot of guns, they were supposed to go to the people so they could fight back.”

🇮🇷 Iran’s Supreme Leader says country endured “three wars,” calls for unity and economic shift In a written message read on state television for the Persian New Year (Nowruz) today, March 20, 2026, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said Iran’s adversaries have miscalculated and failed to achieve their objectives, while praising the steadfastness of the Iranian people. He designated the new year as the “year of a resistance economy under national unity and national security.” The message, issued via Telegram and read by a presenter as Khamenei remains out of public view, describes the past year as one in which Iran faced three distinct phases of war, while presenting public unity as central to resisting external aggression. Key points from the statement: 🔸 “Three wars” framing: He described the past year as consisting of three phases: a June conflict with Israel and U.S. backing, a “January coup” attempt tied to unrest and proxy activity, and an ongoing war marked by assassinations of senior leadership. 🔸 “Failed” enemy expectations: He said the U.S. and Israel wrongly believed the killing of senior leaders, including his father Ali Khamenei, would trigger fear or destabilization. 🔸 Public and leadership mobilization: He praised both citizens and officials, including the president and senior figures, for appearing publicly and participating alongside the population, pointing to rallies and Quds Day as evidence of cohesion. 🔸 Economy as next front: Declaring the year’s slogan, he framed economic stability, infrastructure, and living conditions as a central front, saying officials are preparing an “expert” plan to address structural issues. 🔸 Direct engagement with public concerns: He said he has at times traveled anonymously, including by taxi, to hear complaints firsthand about economic and governance issues. 🔸 Media warning and unity push: He cautioned domestic media against emphasizing internal weaknesses, arguing it could aid hostile psychological operations, and called for stronger cohesion between the public and governing institutions. 🔸 Regional messaging: He denied Iran or its allies carried out recent attacks in Turkey and Oman, describing them as “false flag” operations. The address also marks the first Nowruz following the killing of Iran’s top leadership, combining mourning with calls to maintain daily life, while reinforcing a message of endurance and continued confrontation with Israel and the United States.

Why should Americans vote to install and heir apparent who was very clearly not going to change course on Israel VS someone who openly said "No new wars"? I mean, I agree Trump was worse in hindsight but nobody expected him to get us into all this nonsense. As far as Harris, this is a woman who shouted down protestors against the war in Gaza with her signature "I'm talking" line that everyone got all tingly about. Imagine ignoring people who want to end death and destruction at an unimaginable scale. No I don't fucking blame them.

@NoahTMott @TheOmniLiberal was Trump much worse for Palestinians? Yes, of course. But rewarding Kamala was far too high a price to pay to reduce Palestinian suffering. Just a reminder. On October 8, 2024, during an appearance on ABC's "The View," co-host Sunny Hostin asked Kamala Harris whether she would have done anything differently from President Biden over the past four years. Harris responded, "There is not a thing that comes to mind," adding, "I've been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact."

Telling someone they MUST vote for a candidate that was foisted upon them? This is something they should be blamed for? The only organization that should be blamed is the leadership of the Democratic Party and an aging Joe Biden, who should never have attempted to run again. The Democrats still haven't released their postmortum on the election. I wonder why?
