All language is a lossy compression of reality — beware: some exploit this feature of language to collapse perception into their preferred moral categories.

@clairlemon They’re motivated by envy, resentment, and hatred. They want to claim moral authority to build permission structures for violence and theft. That’s their end goal. The musings about equality are a means to an end. It’s psychopathic.

See. There it is again. These labels that we use to compress an entire person into a moral category. It’s like a thought-terminating cliche where it precludes further contemplation because the label tells you everything you need to know. It permits disengagement. It permits the mind to box them in conceptually. And it morally loads the perception so that you can label something evil. It wasn’t like this when I was a kid.

The start/stop paired with the hostility was not a good look. That reads to me as features of someone that is less interested in a dialog and a shared negotiated discovery of reality that is curiosity-driven. It comes off as someone that is more interested trying to impose their deductive framework — which I assume is something you’re opposed to in principle. If you take a wider angled lens: You and Zach were once boys that could have easily been playing together on a playground, and now you’re talking past each other in an attempt to dominate the conversation. It’s terribly saddening that you can’t be better dance-partners in conversation and the sense of play is gone. Social media was a mistake. It made people inclined to over-compress reality into statements that are more aimed at shaping perception of reality instead of playfully discovering it. Language has been abused. The fun is gone. I don’t want this world anymore.

@HasanabiProd He’s responding to “socioeconomics is a cope” He may very well believe Black people are inferior, but his goldfish-like inability to keep up with an ongoing series of points saves him here This is why I came up with the Start/Stop He can’t process a lot of information at once

I’ve privately wondered if it’s possible to objectively measure distance between ideologies by establishing some ontological features (e.g. propositions, values) to map the ideological structure, and then count the number of transformations to convert ideology A to ideology B to infer “distance”. My suspicion is that most people would be surprised by the proximity of progressivism to fascism. After all, both foreground racial identity as primary. They support political violence directed against opponents. And there’s an insistence on having their conceptual frameworks be totalizing, with little room for deviation from the orthodoxy. But I suspect that if statements made by Nazi’s were neutralized to remove contemporary references that we would see a surprising amount of agreement from progressives.

@DelusionPosting That word “educated” is doing a lot of “work” there. You’re compressing a lot of reality into that word to smuggle in some premises.

@LeftyWinter Progressivism is the new fascism. Rainbow-fascism. Gyno-fascism. Prog-fascism. Xeno-fascism. It’s all so tragically sad. I miss the 90’s and 2000’s. You Gen Z folks don’t know how good we had it before social media radicalized so many, and it genuinely makes me sad.

@paleochristcon I’m missing the significance he thought this would bring. Did this guy (Ruslan) think appealing to an AI like this would lead to an own? All this question framing does is embarrassingly reveal his ignorance on the subject.

@AOC is terrifying because she utilizes the rhetoric produced from the Marxist conceptual framework. Language is already a lossy compression of reality, but when these compressions consistently collapse into the victim/victimizer framing, it becomes absurd because there are an infinite amount of parameters that we can differentiate ourselves with, and you can be arbitrarily selective with whatever you choose to emphasize as “the difference” that explains any disparity in outcome. Then the goal for this twisted Marxist framework becomes to foreground whatever parameter maximizes envy, resentment, and hatred — and build whatever permission structures you need to to convince the group that they’re permitted to commit violence and theft. It’s an extremely evil ideology. That’s why she scares me. She’s potentially a Mao, Pol Pot, Mussolini, or Hitler. A monster.

These past few years I’ve come to understand a new form of dishonesty. Language is a lossy compression of reality, and some delight in using language such that compresses reality until it collapses into their preferred moral categories and frameworks. They use selective emphasis such that it gestures accusations without outright making them. They sequence information to make desired conclusions seem obvious. Time and time again, I see posts like this, and I use several AIs to investigate the validity of the surface claims, and I’m not sure I’ve found a single instance where it’s not a cartoonishly over-compressed statement designed to socially and morally engineer. These people are not interested in truth. They are interested in creating a permission structures for violence and theft.

@2024isweird @michaelmalice @grok Something being beneficial 10 years from now doesnt do people any good right now. And even when we get there, then what? All jobs are automated,so how do people pay their bills? Or for their needs or wants? Now were talking about a UBI situation. Who decides what we are worth?

@elonmusk Agreed. Reflexive empathy is exploited by the worst kind of people. There appears to be no imagination for guile by many — they are the ones that make us vulnerable to threats. I think it’s time the case be made that these “empaths” endanger our loved ones.

Beware the empathy exploit. Empathy is good and right when thought through (deep), but can be deadly to civilization when simply stimulus-response (shallow). For example, releasing a repeat violent offender may feel good at first (shallow empathy for the criminal), but it is wrong to do so when that person will go on to hurt or murder innocent victims, as there should be deep empathy for future victims.
