I love physical PC games, so it was a very special treat to get a boxed copy of World of Goo from @roncarmel ! It's a small box but they went all out on the flaps :-)

@GreyAlien £250 without monitor sounds INSANE to me. But I haven't been keeping up with prices. I used to sell those full restored and working (w/o monitor) for about 100€ a couple of years ago. You could find them untested for half that much.

@NoelsRetroLab Yeah I do have a scart TV. Just checking ebay now. Looks like they are at least £250 though getting one with a working drive may cost more. I know you repaired some drives on your channel but I'd rather have one that works.

@amiga_rochester @techknight2 General purpose isn't a bad thing. Should make it much easier to land something if you're a fast learner. Sometimes being super specialized can be a drawback.

@MobyGamer Like other people said, it might not be so black and white. That's a long time ago and their perception of what they did might be different from teammates.

Dilemma: A prominent game programmer from the 80s is taking more design credit than they are due for some seminal games they programmed. I'm afraid to correct them because their current identity is wrapped up in the narrative they are pushing. What to do? Be kind, or be accurate?
