@darwintojesus Why does progress have meaning with god and not without god? If anything progress with god is meaningless because you are just subservient to a deity.

There’s no such thing as progress if atheism is true. For progress to be a meaningful concept you need God, you need humans to be here for a reason, an actual purpose. If you care about progress you should reject atheism with every fiber of your being.

@NotEvolution1 Well if atheists are right, Christian’s have wasted their one and only life that we can prove (your current life)

Christianity is true because of the resurrection, so there’s no “if”

@zecqual @_jonbowlin Yeah no doubt but I’m just saying the general principal, that being your rights extend so far until they infringe upon mine. There is of course going to be complexity in such a broad concept but that doesn’t mean a comparison to hitler is justified

@None50719903 @_jonbowlin Everything you do in your life affects others. Should I have the right to say things to people that lead to suicide? Or to sell drugs people eventually overdose on to feed my family? Don’t agree with the post but the line is much blurrier than people on here make it out to be.

@OPShinkie @darwintojesus There’s also gnostic atheists (they say they know a god does not exist) and agnostic atheists (does not believe in a god but also doesn’t know if one exists.) I would argue everyone is an agnostic atheist or theist but a lot of theist positions is that they know god exist

@presbycrusader @Deadlydill @haymes_joshua I meant more where is the passage that specifically breaks the OT laws into civil, ceremonial and moral law. You can see moral laws are connected to natural order but where is the scripture that says this is how it’s to be divided

This video is not heartwarming, it’s disturbing. A nation that sends its women into combat is a nation in high rebellion against God & against the created order. God explicitly forbids women from donning the gear of a warrior in Deut. 22:5. It is an abomination. This woman should be raising her children. God designed women to be nurturers & life givers, not warrior death dealers.

@Heated_tv @Deadlydill @haymes_joshua But the 10 commandments aren’t the same as all the moral laws of the OT. Without actual scripture to to justify the interpretation I think it’s very dangerous to speak on behalf of what God demands.

@presbycrusader @Deadlydill @haymes_joshua Do you have a NT line to support that framing? Just saying the IT moral laws are connect to natural order doesn’t necessarily mean the NT doesn’t void them unless it is specifically mentioned that those aren’t voided

@Deadlydill @haymes_joshua It’s not picking and choosing, the moral law will always be in effect. Many moral law codes of the OT are also connected to the natural order. Even other civil codes provide a general equity of how God’s people should live.

People don't know the difference between ceremonial and moral laws that were given to the Israelites to be honest. Christ fulfilled them so there's no reason for us to follow Levitical law outside of moral obligation. The reason those laws were instituted was to separate the Israelites as a people from other pagan nations. The laws were also impossible to follow which is why sacrificial restitution was outlined specifically by God for those aspiring to be "clean" again.

@EmmanuelAy33973 @MartinTweats Yeah but none of that is a part of atheism. Atheism is ‘a’ lack of ‘theism’. Anything extra, anything that is believed by the person is only in proxy to atheism but not part of atheism. @grok can you expand further as I am limited by characters.

@Bipro_77 @TigerNf6 @StevenCoop48 @darkkmystic @grok I don’t know but maybe terrorism is a specific crime where the intent is to instil terror. Robbery for example has the intent being theft and material advantage not normally motivated by a desire to cause terror.

@Maximumatheist So if Christian’s are right that there is a god, they are heading the bets on one specific god while wasting their one and only proven life (this one) on the belief of an afterlife.

@lightning189 @Chilly_MIV Her personality would have had to be written very differently though, her personality/mindset is the most anti-air bender you can be so it makes perfect sense she would struggle with air. But align with fire which aligns with her disposition

@Chilly_MIV Sunce Bryke made her a natural Water, fire and earth-bender (as stupid as it is) her struggling with air makes sense. But if the story had been written by someone who understood Avatar, she would've struggled with fire.

@Big_Archie01 @Kanyin__xx Korra was canonically 17-18 in S1-S3. I would classify that as a teenager. In the movie I’m not sure but I assume they are like mid 20’s
