@raphaellevipaul @ducciolvp I feel like long standing problems with a lot of work done already could be solved the same. Since via LLMs you can now combine and use all previous work and maybe the combination of everything already contains the solution, but it is just to hard to extract for a human.

Taiki & Hika | Decoding Japan
Your textbook lied about 全然. It says 全然 only works with negatives. Then every native says 全然大丈夫 and 全然いいよ. They're not wrong. 全然 + positive means totally, more than you'd expect. Casual speech only. But it's everywhere. Decoding Japan #3

@truthisfeared @NXT4EU @3DPBelgian With 50% meaning 360 of the total 720, not the amount of people who are available on that day. All scheduled short term this week to be voted on today, which is the last day before the summer break to do this kind of vote.

@truthisfeared @NXT4EU @3DPBelgian It is funny since the graphic just tells you what happened and that it is confusing you shows how ridiculous the whole thing is. That they flipped the vote to "reject chat control", so in order to "pass" you need more than 50% yes votes.

@CiCiYouLaterTTV Watching a streamer who just does it for fun, mainly just streams on the weekend during morning hours the same thing. Or streams randomly when he feels like it. Even with that kind of schedule he got partnered eventually which was nice since it meant more emote slots on twitch.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone stream just for the heck of it? Like, you aren't trying to get partnered or go viral or anything special. You just do it because you want to?

@Grim85RIP @Dexerto And there is still the option for the employer to just not request a doctors notice for the first few days. At my company this generally would just be too much overhead for 1-2 days sickness and also if you got to the doctor chances are high you will have the full week "off".

@Dexerto To clarify, they always needed the 'certificate' no matter what. If you're sick you could phone the doctor's office and get this. Now you'll have to physically wait at the doctor's office for the same thing. That's the difference.

@F1GuyDan Understandable language misunderstanding. Bono repeats for "clarity", Kimi translates.. at high speed & under pressure... Double yellow. Human Factors is a subject and a big focus in crash investigations of all public transport. Next time, Bono will phrase differently.

Kimi Antonelli end of Q3 radio Bono: “Yellow. Yellow.” Kimi: “Fuck, that was the lap, man. Oh my god. Fucking hell.” Kimi: “How did George improve?” Bono: “He did apparently lift through the yellow” Kimi: “Yeah but it was a double yellow” Bono: “Need to double check that” Kimi: “But Bono, I don’t understand you told me yellow yellow.” Bono: “Affirm. Yes.” Kimi: “I had double yellow on my dash.” Bono: “It’s only showing single yellow here. It was single yellow.”

@SteveHinckley8 @ModestTeacher It is funny that incredibly long time does not do justice to it even in the slightest. We are talking about numbers which are way outside any human comprehension and are basically infinite. Nice video from Vsauce on this exact number youtu.be/ObiqJzfyACM?t=…

@ModestTeacher It is theoretically possible if you shuffle the deck a certain way (an even split for example), but yeah with 52! possibilities, you have 8.0658 * (10 ^ 67) combinations, which would take an incredibly long time to repeat if you tried to randomly shuffled it at least 7 times.

@EmpressMoniii @elegeia_ Under the hood it reduces animation locks to simulate 10ms ping. So reduces animation locks in relation to your ping. It really fixes the game for people on high ping. I wonder if SE will ever come around and fix their terrible netcode, so stuff like this is not needed anymore.

@AJ_Fallacious @whiskersspell @FishBowlOfWine Yeah it had issues in general. It started out so great with the world building but it went downhill way too fast. They had some good themes throughout all seasons here and there but the main plot consistently went down the wrong path it felt like.

@whiskersspell @FishBowlOfWine Aaron Ehasz who was had wirter season 1-3 for ATLA was not a writer for Korra. So seems like he was part of the secret sauce. But ATLA had the advantage that it was always planned to be 3 seasons. So we got one big cohesive story. Korra was just done season to season.

@SartenMr @Celsius233Books @FishBowlOfWine Was really a big issue they faced in terms of writing. Since every season had to introduce and resolve the conflict because it was unclear if another season would happen. Sadly meant themes between seasons changed massively and a lot of conflict just felt forced.

@vhaerath @FillaneXIV Even then you can still stalk people if you want using the API they provide. Since a lot of people just live parse or upload full logs. So if you just do roulettes chances are high you will appear in some logs and can be found.

@FillaneXIV You can put 'fflogs-hidden' in your characters' Lodestone profiles, and it'll prevent you from being parsed.

I don't know how controversial this take is, but it's kinda weird that strangers can see fflogs of you even if you yourself never parsed directly (especially of only one blue and one grey show up for random casual dailies you did at some point lol)

@niersgestalt I think a story skip is fine. Get people into the game and let them do the latest content. Then encourage them to do NG+ or make an alt and enjoy the story on your own pace. Having a free story skip will help bring in new players which is always good for an MMO.

people wanting to get into ffxiv by skipping to the newest expac really vindicates the idea that lots of people don’t get into games to experience them anymore, they do it to be part of the conversation and whatever lets them join that conversation the fastest takes priority

@biggieU_U @CentralScruty DS2 has barely any level design and how the world is connected does not make sense half the time. The decision to just let the player port between bonfires from the start eliminated any need to think about how the world could interconnect.

@SpawnYaardReply At least with Damiane you can just spam smiting bolt and get this fight over with. Just takes a while and it still not fun but at least also not too annoying. Oongka boss fight was much worse imo. But generally both sections were annoying and should have been optional somehow.

They take your weapon away😑 When you are forced to play as Damiane in Crimson Desert, they take away the weapon that you had on Kliff. Since I've been focusing on one dual handed weapon, that's gone and now Damiane can't use my best weapon. Moreover, I hate reassigning the skill points when characters switch. This whole Oongka and Damiane thing is an afterthought and is not implemented properly.
