No forward thinking, no idea how to organize and recognize a person that perhaps helped the university then most. So they screwed up that portion, then chose to hide after.

But also, if this decision was made a few weeks ago, how would you get players back from all over the world? Most importantly, Schmidt didn't want that. I hope/think they'll do it eventually.

Mark Schmidt walks off the court for the final time as Bona coach. Props to the Bonnies for quickly turning the page on that regular season and giving us a gutsy little March run. The only ever #Unfurl after a loss. To Mark, thanks for saving the Bonnies when we needed it most.

The right way would be to have all the players come in, and organize a large event to honor mark in the final year(s) and create a sense of community. This leadership (which you seem to accept) chose to hide and not address.

Serious take. If I won the powerball tomorrow and somehow was able to choose what golf club I’d be a member at, I don’t think I’d ever choose a place like Oakmont. Why would I want to get my teeth kicked in every day? It sounds so miserable to me. I get joining for the prestige and all that, but getting done with a casual round of golf at a club you are a member and it feeling like you have been in a boxing match 4 times a week doesn’t seem enjoyable at all.
