Wilson appears to be a bit more proactive than his predecessors but we’ll see. Refuse to believe it could ever be a worse downgrade than, say, Ben Arfa to Remy Cabella.

I seem to be in the exception on here that NUFC seem to have a measured blue print (within the rigged financial parameters), and a £75m+ sale for a 29yo would be madness to turn down. But, this is the biggest thing they have to get right.

And if we do sell Bruno for that kind of money, I’m sure we’ll reinvest it in some of the names we’re being linked with, basically ending up with a brand new team. But my worry is, with Bruno leaving, we lose that figurehead. That charismatic leader we could depend on. Even though he’s barely missed games, we’ve only won one Premier League match without him since 2023. It’s not just replacing his talent, it’s replacing his presence.

What a ringing endorsement of his new club… This isn’t about ambition or a “project”, it’s about money and London. Not the type of player you want at the club, irrespective of how good he is. He’ll be back to Italy in a few years, the second an Italian club come sniffing.
