@ImtiazMadmood Australia is multicultural. While first generation sometimes find it difficult to feel comfortable in their Australian identities, generally, second generations are like everyone else in Australia, Australian, with an interesting and deep background. Not perfect but pretty good.
Australia’s Muslim population has grown from about 77,000 in 1981 to over 813,000 by 2021, with estimates now nearing 1 million.
That’s in a country of roughly 27 million people; small share, fast growth.
Now it’s sparking a bigger conversation: what does this mean for Australia’s cultural identity going forward?
- @RadioGenoa
@Stace1989s@TheRoyalGrift They were just at Bondi where Jews were killed by Islamic terrorists and now they are where? Lakemba Mosque or some similar establishment?
@isalndgigi@nancytsidley@StephanieSidley How is visiting the beach on a 30 degree Celsius day encouraging them. The beach is always packed in this weather. It’s not because the grifters were there.
Famous disaster tourists and tragedy grifters are exploiting the Hanukkah massacre at Bondi Beach, now parading around with the first responders who actually saved lives that night.
Keep in mind, Meghan is merching her clothes and jewelry through all of this, yes, even the sunglasses.
@nancytsidley@StephanieSidley Also keep in mind it was 30 degrees Celsius in Sydney today. Bondi would be packed regardless. So idiotic to claim it was to see them.
Prince Harry laid wreaths and took part in an indigenous smoking ceremony as he visited the Australian War Memorial in Canberra on Wednesday. abcnews.link/adgLxW1
I will not take fatherly advice from Prince Harry, who—along with his wife—has burdened his own children with his actions/behaviour. Nor will I accept mental health advice from someone who has spent years publicly attacking his family with no apparent concern for their well-being
@SuburbanDuchess@lynpopsicle I must be living under a rock. When I’ve seen them on the telly I havnt seen crowds of people or very much media following them.
I was going to totally go silent on the faux royal tour, but it appears that would be exactly what #KingCharles and #ClarenceHouse want all of us to do.
Because Harry just launched a full scale nuclear missile at the world, essentially saying he isn't on a royal tour, but he is a royal on tour, so the sooner people get that in their minds the better.
He is claiming to be, in effect, on a real royal tour because he is a royal. And honestly, as much as this is a lie, it is also technically true. He's a royal on tour according to Harry.
The only reason why Harry is still a royal is because Charles has not pulled his titles, pulled him from the LOS and taken away his birthright. Charles has failed the UK and the world by not curbing his child.
Harry isn't going to off himself if Charles plays the strong man and takes it all away just like he did with Andrew.
And please stop saying, "But Parliament." The King stripped Andrew all by himself. The King can do it again. And again.
The other part that has me incandescent with rage (and I can only imagine how upset Prince William is right now) is the way Harry knelt by a child who clearly was uncomfortable being there. You know the one. The child at the hospital meet and greet, who had no hair and Harry chose that child to focus on.
This wasn't a four year old. Nope, the ill child was closer to maybe eight? Maybe ten? But the child didn't make eye contact with Harry, and was looking all around as if floundering and needing help.
Why the hell is Harry visiting the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne in the first place? And why all the cameras? HE IS NOT ON A ROYAL TOUR!!!!
But he is the son of the King.
And the King is warming up to Harry and has indeed met with him recently.
So what the f is Australia to do? They treat Harry as a royal. With security that makes them appear even more royal. With a camera crew.
Somebody is making all of this happen and it cannot be ignored any longer.
Somebody has to kick Harry out or kick out Charles.
If King Charles doesn't remove Harry's titles and make it so well known he is not associated with the royals in any way, then he needs to abdicate. Charles doesn't have a tough bone in his body. He's too sensitive and wants peace and tranquility at all costs.
Except it must have felt kind of fun to Charles to have the favorite in his family kicked to the curb at last.
Charles did that to Andrew in part to save the monarchy, but wasn't there a part of it that gave Charles such deep satisfaction? After all these years of Andrew being the favorite? Yeah.
Now Charles needs to strip his own son. He has to show his strength. It takes great strength to be a good leader, yet taking care of the Harry issue is essential now.
Remove Harry's titles and birthright. NOW.
(I refuse to include pics of Harry's 'royal on tour'.)
@freedom_007__@according2_taz The engagement is very low. Jeez we don’t want them here. Don’t believe everything you see on the telly. It’s easy to manipulate what is viewed through a lense.
I thought I’d just poke fun at this tour but the hospital stunt has really disgusted me. Nothing about this is ok. Leave children out of your publicity stunts. You hide your children to protect them, but happily use other people’s children to try and repair your image. Vultures.
@Ratchy_100@OFH321 When is this? I don’t see this when I look at our news here. Is this possibly from when Invictus was held in Syd. You know, the visit where we got excited and then woke up.
@according2_taz@freedom_007__ For crying out loud. I’ve got no idea what the cow is doing on master chef but the crowds aren’t there. They can use all the camera tricks they want but they are a non event.
Harry and Meghan have deliberately used a ‘Royal tour’ blueprint, as part of this trip to make money. They are doing exactly what Queen Elizabeth II was against. This is the half in half out whereby they use their Royal platform to line their own pockets. To use Australia, a commonwealth country where Harry’s dad is Head of State is of course on purpose. As it was choosing Australia, directly after Anthony Albanese invited the Prince and Princess of Wales for an official visit. Harry and Meghan are cashing in on their titles, Harry’s birthright and the Royal family. That’s exactly why they started with a Hospital QEII opened and Diana and Charles had visited.
They are deliberately cosplaying working Royals and cashing in 💰
Meghan Markle spent the day collecting another paycheck from MasterChef Australia. They introduce her as “Royalty” & “the Duchess of Sussex.” This trip was never about veterans or mental health. This video makes me sick, @masterchefau!
@Wijntje80@end3of6days9 Note that if the MT doesn't find any issues, (but there is clearly a issue) - THEN pilot should be able to reject. Its another thing when the issue is present in the T/LOG *AND* the issue is "accepted" (safe to fly with the issue). Then pilot should just swallow and accept.
✈️ This pilot flat-out refused to take off… even though the crew had already cleared the plane for departure.
He had a bad gut feeling — oil pressure on engine #2 was trending up and the fuel system filter still needed replacing. He told the passengers straight up:
“They told us the plane is good to go, but I’m not really feeling it. I’m not going to leave the ground if I’m not completely certain that we have an airworthy aircraft. So I’m refusing the aircraft. I feel a lot more comfortable making this call than flying six hours over the water and maybe having an issue.”
He apologized for the delay, then had everyone deplane so maintenance could fix it properly.
In a world that’s always rushing, this pilot chose safety over schedule and put every single life on that plane first ❤️
I would you rather have a pilot who listens to his gut like this than one who just sticks to the schedule no matter what... how about you?
This is the part to the Ben Roberts-Smith story that makes my blood boil.
On the night of August 29th, 2012 a Taliban sleeper agent in the Afghan National Army massacred three Australian soldiers in cold blood as they prepared to sleep on their own base.
Their names were Private Robert Poate, Sapper James Martin and Lance Corporal Rick Milosevic.
The rogue Afghan soldier was named Hekmatullah. It was the fourth insider, or ''green-on-blue'' attack by Taliban sleeper agents in the Afghan National Army against Australian soldiers in 15 months.
Out of the 41 Australians who died in Afghanistan, 7 died by way of these insider attacks - attacks which technically constitute the war crime of perfidy.
Hekmatullah's attack was a war crime under Article 37 of Additional Protocol I (1977) to the Geneva Conventions which prohibits perfidy as an act of war.
By enlisting in the Afghan National Army and wearing its uniform, Hekmatullah presented himself as a co-belligerent fighting alongside Australian forces - not against them. He invited the confidence of Australian soldiers so as to lead them to believe that they were entitled to protection under international law, and then betrayed that confidence to massacre them as they prepared to sleep.
Ben Roberts-Smith was one of the first on base after the attack. He was ordered to find and apprehend Hekmatullah in order to bring him to justice.
Acting on intelligence, Roberts-Smith and his men were led to the village of Darwan, where Roberts-Smith is then alleged to have committed a war crime, supposedly kicking a farmer named Ali Jan off a cliff and ordering his execution.
Roberts-Smith has always maintained that Ali Jan was a Taliban spotter in a village that was a Taliban stronghold. It is a matter of historical fact that there was confirmed armed Taliban presence in the village of Darwan the day of the raid.
Robert Poate's father Hugh defended Ben Roberts-Smith and his actions: ''These citizens in the village could well have been a civilian one day and pulling the trigger the next, that‘s the way the Taliban operated. This perspective should have been included to provide some balance and context.''
The Taliban fought by blending into the civilian population. They pushed sleeper agents into the Afghan National Army and murdered our soldiers in moments of vulnerability.
Where is Hekmatullah today? He lives in Afghanistan as a free man, feted as a hero by the Taliban. They don't give a fuck about international law or human rights or war crimes. They openly boast about the way they slaughtered our soldiers through acts of betrayal and perfidy.
So my proposal is this: Australia can put Ben Roberts-Smith on trial when the Taliban hand over Hekmatullah, preferably dead, his head on a silver platter.
Until that time, FREE BEN ROBERTS-SMITH.
@Ryandally08 Does she not know us New South Welshmen are also considered cockroaches, especially when it comes to State of Origin. I wear the badge with pride. Go cry somewhere else Faruqi.
#BREAKING Pakistani born Senator Mehreen Faruqi, says the Government isn’t doing enough to combat “Islamophobia”
She adds “we have seen a 200% rise in Islamophobia”
And “we know Islamophobia has been legitimatised as has racism” in Australia.
