Great read from @sahilbloom on the stories you tell yourself: "It's not the sheer difficulty of achieving something that stops you—it's the ease of continuing to tell yourself the story that you can't." sahilbloom.com/newsletter/the…

@DanielPink What a great idea. Will have to add this to my end of day routine when I review the next day's schedule.

Nightly ritual: Write one line before bed. It marks the day's end, prompts reflection, and builds a treasure trove of thoughts over time. A simple habit with profound impact. youtu.be/ZgiMCx1q5G4

My 80% rule for life: • 10% of days you’ll feel great • 10% of days you’ll feel terrible Your success in life is determined by how you show up on the 80% of days in between. Lesson: The way you show up on your average day is ultimately what defines you in the long run.

@TimSackett Based on the many years I have been in my own business and working with other businesses I would say that many workers put up with bad bosses when the pay is just OK. Many stay even with poor pay because they don't want to take the chance at working for another bad or worse boss.

This is no longer true and based on a bad survey design by Gallup. Almost every survey/study/research in the past decade has shown that most workers leave for more money, not bad bosses. In fact, if you're in a marketing leading pay job, you'll almost never leave regardless of what your boss does.
