@AdamSinger The 3rd wave of Biocatalysis is going to disrupt pharmaceutical development, food enhancement, and materials manufacturing. $CDXS is discovering new enzymes, and their industrial partners are using them at scale. Could be a $100B company in a decade

I'm setting the over/under at 6.5 majors for Scottie Scheffler. You taking the over or the under? Here's the logic for picking that number: Historically, most golfers have a short window to win majors, and then maybe pick one off later in their career. Jack Nicklaus won 17 of his 18 majors over an 18 year period, then won in 1986. Tiger won 14 of his 15 majors in an 11 year period, then picked off another in 2019. Mickelson won 5 of his 6 over a 9 year period, then got a late one in 2021. Rory won 4 quickly and then took forever to win his 5th. Watson, Seve, Faldo and Palmer won all their majors in less than 10 years. The point is, guys don't typically have long spans of time where they can win majors. Nicklaus is the outlier. So if we figure Scottie has a 10 year window, we're already 3.5 years into that window. He's gotten 3, but he's also playing golf at a standard we've rarely seen. Will he continue to play at this crazy level? I could see Scottie getting to 10, I could see him finishing at 4 or 5.

@cryptomanran @JuliusStark_ The process to create gold is done one atom at a time. Lol this is nothing new, and turning lead into gold has been possible since the first particle accelerator. These instruments are expensive, and a single atom of gold is not much. This is a non issue lol!

This is REALLY bad for GOLD. Scientists can literally recreate Gold in a lab and this makes Gold no longer scarce. For those that think I am being alarmist or dramatic, study the Diamond chart since the same thing happened and scientists created lab grown diamonds. Neither the human eye nor with a mag glass can tell the difference and the cost is about 1% of the original. Once people realize this, there will be a huge shift into Bitcoin.

@BarkleysBurner_ Bruh not you too. Everyone obsessing over rankings and hierarchies. Everyone except the superbowl champion Philadelphia eagles who only care about winning. Can’t we learn from our team? No need to dish out more hate. And this is hating on DJax no matter what your intent is

BREAKING: OpenAI says they have evidence that DeepSeek illegally used their "proprietary models to train its own open-source competitor," per FT. OpenAI claims this was done through "distillation," allowing DeepSeek to obtain better performance on smaller models. The trade war just got worse.

I am proud to introduce the O.H.I.O Sportsmanship Act to make flag planting at midfield a felony in the state of Ohio. Behavior that incites violent brawls and puts our law enforcement officers in danger has no place on the football field.

@BriannaWu Idk I spent time in academia as a PhD student, post doc, professor, researcher. There are so many brilliant people in these fields. I wasn’t one of them, but it was intellectually stimulating to work with accomplished thinkers

My hottest take is I don’t think a massive number people in academia are that smart, which is why they are unemployable elsewhere. I think they become very pedantic people that learn a ritualistic way of communicating that sounds smart, but if you really examine it - all it does is inflate weak ideas. They become so focused on minor details they’re unable to connect it to any larger narrative. Everything about their lives becomes missing the forest for the trees.
