@theodorekorff @TheCinesthetic I can smell your envy and sadness from here.
English

@TheCinesthetic Oh poor guy. He hurt his little arm making $25,000,000.
English

@jonhillymakes @NerdroticsWife @Genki_JPN You're really going by sales numbers to determine quality?
Not that I particularly care to play that game but in that case, pull up the numbers for FF16 and Rebirth.
And also grab the numbers for KH4--oh wait you can't because Square Enix is a mismanaged joke of a company
English

Final Fantasy XIV (2010): 24 million units. Originally a commercial failure, its "A Realm Reborn" relaunch transformed it into Square Enix's most successful modern title and a major revenue driver via subscriptions.
Tomb Raider (2013): 14.5 million units. Part of the "Survivor Trilogy" acquired via Eidos, this reboot became one of the company's highest-selling Western-developed games.
Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015): 11.9 million units. The sequel to the 2013 reboot maintained high commercial momentum.
Final Fantasy XV (2016): 10.3 million units. This title marked a major shift toward open-world action-RPG gameplay for the main series.
NieR: Automata (2017): 10 million units. A surprise breakout hit that far exceeded original sales expectations and revitalized the NieR brand.
Final Fantasy XIII (2009): 9.6 million units. The first mainline entry of the PS3/Xbox 360 era, it remains one of the fastest-selling games in the franchise's history.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age (2017): 9 million units. This is currently the best-selling individual entry in the Dragon Quest franchise.
Final Fantasy XII (2006): 8.4 million units. Notable for its "Gambit" battle system and its setting in the world of Ivalice.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (2009): 7.2 million units. A major success on the Nintendo DS, particularly in Japan.
Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020): 7 million+ units. This reimagining of the 1997 classic became the highest-selling digital release in the company's history at the time.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (2004): 7 million units. The first Dragon Quest game to see a major, successful push in Western markets after the merger.
really?

@LumInvaderGirl @GlobalBoxOffice Link was made to be as appealing to Yoshiaki Koizumi's wife as humanly possible and she's clearly into men.

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA is filming in the same locations as Peter Jackson's THE LORD OF THE RINGS film from the early 2000s.

@Stealth40k They release a 100$ dlc Im buying that bro Im such a sucker when it comes to this peak game
English

@Nube_Negrahz @Solon_Prime @starwars @DisneyPlus Things done for the wrong reasons are bad, yes.
You're speaking to the crowd that likes Leia (in more than just ROTJ, mind you), so really try and think: what is it about THESE females specifically that might be the problem?
... eh, you'll never figure it out.
English

Devon Izara is no ordinary Jedi.
The two-episode premiere of Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord, an all-new animated series, streams April 6 only on @DisneyPlus.

English

@KingZach25 @jiberating @jondelarroz @starwars @DisneyPlus Are you really that easy to entertain? Pathetic.
English

@CandleDann @Duujah @HafizhImanov @Genki_JPN >straight-up get your facts wrong
>ask the other guy what they're not understanding
Holy gaslight, Batman!
English

@Duujah @HafizhImanov @Genki_JPN What do you not understand? Production DOES NOT STOP because he is not there. Thats your whole point and what you are saying. Go be retard somewhere else, dick sneeze.
English

@AlternateJkst @lukecagg @Aurelius291 @Stealth40k Yeah, they'll be 80/70. In other words, still cheaper.
Now, whether or not their games are good enough to warrant higher prices in the first place is worth discussion (not really, their games all suck now), but that's not what y'all are doing.
English

@lukecagg @Aurelius291 @Stealth40k Mk is 80. Bananza digitally is 70, while physical is 80 in europe. The big titles will not be 70/60.
English

Nintendo says the price of physical Switch 2 games are not going up, but digital games will be cheaper:
"The cost of physical games is not going up.
This means that when Nintendo sells digital versions of Nintendo published games exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2 to consumers in the U.S., those prices will have an MSRP that is lower than their physical counterparts.
Retail partners set their own prices for physical and digital games, and pricing for each title may vary."

@HeavyMetalSlug @death_karma @DevilMayCry @netflix Unironic kino, go fuck yourself you unapologetic tourist.
English

@death_karma @DevilMayCry @netflix Yeah, because God knows DMC3 is just a masterclass in storytelling & dialogue, & totally not early 2000s weeb cringe:
“We are the sons of Sparda…we don’t just have his blood, but also HIS SOUL! And my soul says IT WANTS TO STOP YOU!”
English

@Reviver24739 @death_karma @DevilMayCry @netflix How is it "still" DMC when its core values are completely incongruous with the games?
Yes, demons in the games have a capacity for goodness. But Sparda's defection was special because demons *wanted* to be evil. The rest are willfully evil, which makes them truly repugnant.
English

@death_karma @DevilMayCry @netflix The series is fine, it's still DMC, this type of reaction is overboard and just really silly/immature. (Not saying there isn't room for criticism so don't get it twisted) For what it's worth, I've been a fan of the series since the first game came out back in 2001.

@AUmbrellaUSA @BigDadEnergyX @RE_Games Me when I need every game to play the same so I never need to learn new rules for anything I play:
English

@PachiDoom @KryyssX @JakeSucky It's Ubislop without waypoint markers, so you have to find the recycled content yourself.
English

@KryyssX @JakeSucky I disagree. I think BOTW isn't like Ubisoft. An ubi open world has the map marked and littered with random meaningless collectibles, tons of different systems to do and you explore to collect.
Botw is post apocalyptic, its open but you explore to explore, not to cross off a list
English

@PostsFromSkyrim @Quote31490249 @JakeSucky TOTK has more enemy types, not enemy variety. Bokoblins and Lizalfos still occupy 90% of the game world. Each region feels virtually identical to the last in terms of what enemies you can fight there.
English

@Quote31490249 @JakeSucky I'm actually enjoying TotK more than BotW. The story is still an afterthought, but it at least has actual enemy variety, and the sidequests are better. I could see myself actually replaying this one, but maybe from a save with the tutorial already finished.
English

@baundiesel @JakeSucky RDR2 is boring as fuck
Granted, so is BOTW
English

@pride_of_berk @JakeSucky Elden Ring ain't even the best Souls game, man. It's just Dark Souls 2 2--
Wait, you like DS2, don't you.
English

@JakeSucky Not even close to the best game of all time. Someone hasn't played Elden Ring, obviously.
English

@GrimDeath86 @JakeSucky Kinda tripping bro if you did all 120 shrines there was plenty of good and fun puzzles to do, sure it won’t live up to the dungeons but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad game
English

@Genki_JPN @UematsuNobuo really ironic that the best part of one of the best videogame franchises in history is the classical music made by one guy

FIRST LOOK: Val Kilmer has been resurrected via AI to star in the new movie "As Deep as the Grave."
Kilmer was cast in the movie in 2020, five years before his death. But he was too sick amid his throat cancer battle to ever make it to set. Now an AI version of the actor is appearing in the film, with the full blessing of his daughter, Mercedes: "He always looked at emerging technologies with optimism as a tool to expand the possibilities of storytelling. This spirit is something that we are all honoring within this specific film, of which he was an integral part.”
“He was the actor I wanted to play this role,” says writer-director Coerte Voorhees. “It was very much designed around him. It drew on his Native American heritage and his ties to and love of the Southwest... His family kept saying how important they thought the movie was and that Val really wanted to be a part of this. He really thought it was important story that he wanted his name on. It was that support that gave me the confidence to say, okay let’s do this. Despite the fact some people might call it controversial, this is what Val wanted.”
