Tonight, I will watch the people of Canada “elect” a Liberal majority government, after creating it with floor crossers. This will mark the end of my belief in Canadian democracy. It was the entire work of my life, and it had been destroyed by anti-American propaganda.

I am a practicing Catholic. Have been all my life, waaaayyyy over half a century. But I’ve had it with these damn popes getting political!! I couldn’t stand Pope Francis. 😤 We catholics are taught to believe that the pope is divinely chosen. That he is infallible. lol I’m Catholic and I don’t see this as Trump posting himself a our Lord and Saviour. That’s just someone’s perspective. I do witness Trump time and again give praise to Our Lord God in Heaven, as a Christian. He humbles himself , he worships, he gives thanks, he dedicates all to our Lord God. Soooo don’t confuse and get weird.

This has gone down very badly with many of Trump’s biggest cheerleaders. He seems to be on a mission to piss off absolutely everyone, for reasons that are beyond my understanding given his current approval numbers.

The president’s decision to remove Majome from her position is unconstitutional because the Constitution of Zimbabwe sets out a clear and strict process for the removal of commissioners of independent bodies such as the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission. These commissioners can only be removed from office on specific grounds, including misconduct, incapacity or incompetence, and must go through a formal procedure that involves the establishment of a tribunal to investigate the allegations. There is no provision that allows the president to arbitrarily dismiss, transfer or redeploy a sitting chairperson of a constitutional commission. This development raises serious concerns about the erosion of the independence of constitutional institutions and signals a deepening pattern of executive interference in bodies that are meant to act as checks and balances on presidential power.
