Sent an email on Monday. Closed the deal on Saturday! I can't even tell you if it's luck, serendipity, or divine intervention, but what has unfolded in the last seven days is PURE magic! ✨ It started with a newsletter about the Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference (London, Silver Spring, Freetown). One response: "Vicki, this looks like a good partnership for us." That person? On Thursday, I left Accra for Freetown. As I boarded ASky, I  had my headphones on (because... well, you know how it is!), and someone was persistently calling my name. I was a little embarrassed, but what followed was a two-hour conversation that turned into an invitation to see TAF Micro City in John Obey—a 1,000-home community right here in Sierra Leone! To see a planned community where the diaspora and folks at home won't have to worry about basics like electricity and water? That's the dream. By Saturday, we had sat down and agreed on a deal.
