I was not a special operator, but I was around a lot of them, from several branches of service. They’re all legit, but PJ’s are just a different breed. Even the way they walk is different. It’s not a swagger as in cocky. It’s just a quiet confidence that you can see in every movement. Those guys exist for one thing and that’s the exact situation in Iran with a downed aviator. Their school is known as Superman School for a reason. If there’s anything that gives a downed pilot behind enemy lines comfort, it’s knowing that guys like the PJ’s and the CSAR elements will move heaven and earth to get them home.
