@yvonneridley What did you expect to happen to trouble makers sailing into a war zone? Grow up, they wanted to be arrested.

I really fear for the Brits kidnapped and taken hostage by Israel. They will be processed Bergen-Belsen-style with all valuables probably stolen never to be seen again. My credit cards disappeared along with my hearing aids, cosmetics and anything else the Israelis could get their thieving hands on. This is what @IDF looks forward to as looters and pillagers. Inside K'ziot prison they will probably go on hunger strike rather than eat food that moves with ants and maggots. They will be crammed into cells and not allowed exercise. I was there for 7 days and never once got to stretch my legs. The cell I was in had 16 other women and one toilet. There's no legal access or advice, just the British consular reinforcing what we already know - @YvetteCooperMP is bought & owned by Tel Aviv so expect no sympathy or intervention despite what Page 1 says in a British passport which is worthless. FGS write to your MPs and demand their release. Any pressure is worth it. Imagine if it was you trapped with the rapey @IDF toerags.

EXCLUSIVE: The UK Government has been told to intervene 'as a matter of urgency' after Israel kidnapped a number of UK activists while sailing in international waters on a historic aid mission to Gaza Hughie Stirling, 68, from Ullapool is among those detained by Israel

Well I am off fishing tomorrow on some of the SADAC beats near Salisbury. The scenery is usually better than the fishing but the company will be fun.

If these pathetic Labour ‘rebels’ get their way and oust Starmer, Labour is finished. We’ll go back to shouting insults from the sidelines, being in perpetual opposition and achieving nothing. I won’t support them - we’ll have lost the best PM we’ve had in decades and for what?

@SangitaMyska I promise you his voters don’t care about that- because they don’t care about principle, rule of law, corruption and they can’t make a difference between right or wrong, otherwise Farage wouldn’t have been elected in the first place.

Perhaps the beginning of the end? Nigel Farage is facing a formal investigation by the parliamentary standards watchdog over a £5m gift from the crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne.

Starmer is showing resilience and has a thicker skin than most. Lesser mortals would crumble in the midst of an onslaught from a horrendously biased media and opposition parties with dubious foreign links. I honestly think this is a battle for our democracy.

UPDATE: My medical licence suspension review is next Wednesday – 20 May – 9AM – St James Building, Manchester. As many of you know, besides being arrested 5 times, the pro‑'israel' lobby also reported me to the British medical regulator @GMCUK. I won the first investigation. The lobby escalated their vexatious complaints and began smearing me in the press. The GMC opened a second investigation. The lobby demanded I be referred to a tribunal (to place conditions on or suspend doctors while under investigation). The GMC referred me to an Interim Orders Tribunal at the @the_mpts. I won. The lobby demanded I be re‑referred. They demanded my suspension. Health Secretary @wesstreeting - who is funded by the 'israel' lobby - made unfounded public comments against my win. He also threatened the tribunal with lawfare. Eight days later, the GMC referred me to the tribunal – AGAIN. The second tribunal suspended me for 15 months on 26 November 2025. Next week at the review, I will put forward my case again. The existing suspension can be maintained, replaced with conditions, or revoked. Remember: I have never had a single patient complaint in my 7‑year career. This is political persecution. Because I opposed genocide and supremacism. This is a public hearing. You are welcome to attend. We will fight. We will win. Free Palestine 🇵🇸. Free Britain 🇬🇧. 📅 Date: 20 May 2026 ⏰ Time: 9:00 – 17:00 📍 Address: St James Building, 79 Oxford St, Manchester M1 6FQ

Whoever guessed 'Lucky For Some' 13th of May for Baby Haywire wins! Born at 1.32am & arrived so quickly she was delivered in the caul so already made a name for herself in the delivery room. 6lbs 15oz & absolutely beautiful even if her speedy arrival meant only gas & air 😍

With this Labour Government, Britain has seen inflation come down, six interest rate cuts and borrowing fall. The PM’s steady leadership means we are better able to protect families, support businesses, work with allies and face global challenges.

The mask-off moment for me was that appalling panicky press conference when Tory George Osborne announced that if Leave won there would have to be instant emergency pension, benefit and NHS cuts, and standing next to him was ex Labour chancellor Alistair Darling. Both men knew that they were talking speculative rubbish - and in fact nothing like that ever happened - and yet they were happy enough to threaten the old and the poor with real pain if they didn't vote the way their betters told them. There were many criticism of Leave campaign lies and exaggerations, some merited. But for me this was the UK establishment at its absolute worst, shameless and unprincipled. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…

Brexit was about making our own choices on all issues, and spending our money as we chose. It was voted for by the majority, and necessitated leaving a supranational body. It is the continuing lack of loser’s consent that has been so damaging. A negative image of our choice is constantly promoted by the losers; obsessed politicians, lazy civil servants and a partisan media. @TimesRadio

Astonishing and reprehensible. Four Palestine Action activists are to be sentenced as terrorists despite: 1) Their conviction being for criminal damage. 2) The jury being unaware of this when it passed its verdict. 3) Their action taking place before PA was proscribed.

“What kind of a depraved monster slices off a woman’s breast while she is being gang raped, and throws it into the dust to be used as a plaything? What kind of a twisted pervert turns rape into necrophilia by shooting a woman in the head while he is still defiling her? What kind of ‘freedom fighters’ go into battle with a set of handy Arabic-to-Hebrew phrases, including ‘take off your pants’, ‘lie down’, and ‘spread your legs’? What self-respecting human being presses nails, scalpels, a hammer, an axe, screwdrivers and other household tools into a woman’s genitals? How hard do you have to rape someone, and with what, to shatter their pelvis? Who shoots a young girl in the face and then films her mutilated corpse on her brother’s mobile phone? The answer is: Hamas terrorists. This is the stark reality of what they did to men, women and children on October 7, 2023. And the world must never forget.” @WestminsterWAG

By the way, the most effective (if not easy) way to get this done would be to swap MP defined benefit pension scheme for defined contribution (like most private sector staff). They'd get the hang of markets pretty sharpish and maybe pension rules would stop changing so often.
Merryn Somerset Webb@MerrynSW

This is why a one month course in how markets work should be compulsory for all incoming MPs. Don't have to pass an exam (that would not be inclusive...) but should surely be forced to at least sit thro some sessions explaining the basics.

@JamesMelville He is as bad the rest of them. Missing in action from Parliament for the vote on the veterans bill this year. He might be physically brave but he is happy to wash his hands of his former troops, not a good choice.
