unpopular opinion but kids watching qurbani and being excited for it desensitizes them to alot of animal suffering, they dont view them as living beings rather as inferior creatures that are entitled to cater us

Unpopular opinion but qurbani is not wajib on non haji people AT ALL. It is actually better to install a water cooler or plant trees as opposed to doing qurbani of an animal, leaving streets dirty and then only giving the scrap parts to ghareeb.

From 1st June, people who rely on AI for everything in their companies are gonna get cooked. In our stand up, we discussed that we can’t use AI for every single task anymore. The token consumption for each model is getting way higher. Right now, Claude Opus 4.6 takes 3x tokens, but from 1st June it’s apparently going to take 27x. Your GitHub Copilot quota will probably be gone within the first 2-3 days itself.

Credit where due. He solved the twin threats of Tatti and Terrorism. That will be the positive part of his legacy. Otoh he accelerated caste politics; suo motu strengthening the SC/ST Act, breaching 50% quota mark ensuring it is no longer sacrosanct, agreed to implement caste census and came up with anti UC new UGC regulations.

We are Bangladeshi citizens. We want to return to our homeland, Bangladesh. Ever since the BJP government came to power, poor people like us have been treated very badly. We even had voter cards, but the EC cancelled them during the SIR. - An illegal Bangladeshi migrant

Pakistan renamed - Islampur to Krishan Nagar - Babri Masjid Chowk to Jain Mandir Chowk - Sunnat Nagar to Sant Nagar Introduced Mahabharata, Sanskrit in college courses. Hosted first ever Kathak festival. All this after ceasefire was announced. Smart ones know what's going on.
Shivani Shukla@iShivani_Shukla

Pakistan is def upto something! from reviving pre-partition names to reopening old temples, claiming Kathak as their culture lol and even including Mahabharat in the curriculum for Hindu kids, these changes don’t feel random at all

Tech was one of the last paths into the upper middle class without family money, credential laundering, or nepotism. Now those jobs are disappearing too. That is why the layoff story matters beyond tech.

AI is everywhere; everyone is building systems with some AI component in them. To be honest, system design for AI systems is now a core skill. So starting from my upcoming June cohort, week 4 gets two new AI-first systems: - Designing RAG Over 10M Docs, Zero Hallucinations - Designing Enterprise Knowledge Assistant Given that I am now building pretty robust AI systems at Razorpay, these systems will be super close to how things work in production (like every other system I cover). The slot opened up because I am moving away from Redis Internals and Operational Complexities of Consistent Hashing. The Redis Internals series is already out on YouTube, and the Consistent Hashing deep dive (including operational complexities) is coming very soon. Everything I move out of the cohort goes on YouTube, so this will eventually benefit you, even if you choose not to enroll. As with every system in the cohort, I will walk through code and working prototypes so you can see how these AI systems are actually implemented and what running them in production looks like. Enrollments are open for June. Sessions start this weekend. In case you are interested.

Hot take for the 2026/2027 batch 🌶️ Clearing coding qualifiers and winning hackathons is 10x more valuable for your career than grinding for a 9.5+ CGPA. Prove me wrong. 🍿

Harsh truth for CS students: You do NOT become job-ready by learning: • React • Node.js • Next.js • random AI tools You become job-ready when you understand: • DSA • databases • networking • OS basics • backend fundamentals • debugging • system design basics Frameworks change. Fundamentals compound.
