These were still the norm when I started teaching. If you wanted to use an LCD projector, that meant booking one of a few that had to be wheeled in with an old laptop connected to it. Schools didn’t even have wifi.

@sorryforthedel1 @JBradshaw01 I'm P/J, so my qualifications are up to grade 6, but I have up to grade 8 in my building. A Grade 10 math just seems like a random goalpost.

@JBradshaw01 The problem is that the tests are not based on the building you teach in, they are based on your qualifications. An intermediate teacher (7/8) is permitted to teach up to grade 10. All J/I teachers "could" teach up to grade 10 if they had those students in their buildings.

I’ve never heard of an explanation of why every teacher (including arts teachers, language teachers, kindergarten teachers etc) need to pass a test that includes secondary school level math. Those who teach math at that level have specific qualifications. cp24.com/politics/queen…

@StudentLoansFF Only US theatres added new ones, the Canada and U.K. haven’t unfortunately. The BFI says they won’t release new ones until later this year.

Denis Villenueve’s always held strong that Cinema is a visual art form. Dialogue, screenplays, etc- that’s more theater. But according to Denis, Cinema is predominantly about what you seen on screen. It’s why every image from yesterday’s Dune: Part 3 trailer looks like painting.
