@MyGolfSpy The love for taylormade is wild. I was with them until stealth 2. The @Titleist drivers are so much better regardless of swing speed.

@Top100Rick @RevWSJohnson 93?You worried about an electric bill. Sheesh not trying to freeze 101 will do

@RevWSJohnson Next time set me up unaccompanied and pay for it. Only right answer.

@tweeth_mitchell Probably not the best but hammock beach ocean course and conservatory are a great destination if you stay there.
English

@MyGolfSpy That’s just the education system in general. How many bs degrees are there that result in life long debt or salaries they could have obtained with no credentials.
English

@acaseofthegolf1 @GregChalmersPGA @BillyHo_Golf I’m just really jealous I will never get to play there. Maybe one day they will have facility rentals on a small scale.

The journey of a caddie:
Colton Heisey is the caddie for Ricky Castillo, who won last week, and is leading early this week (he is only in the field because of the win).
In 2019 Heisey was caddying for Michael Gellerman on KFT and the pair were having a great year. On an offweek Doc Redman Monday Q'd into the Rocket Mortgage and called Colton to ask if he knew of a caddie.
Heisey said he would come do it since it was an off week. Redman finished runner-up that week and offered him the job. He was really torn as he and Gellerman were close and having a great year, but all caddies want to be on the PGA Tour. So he made the tough call to stay with Redman.
Unfortuntelty a few weeks later Redman let him go. Gellerman had moved on to a new caddie and Heisey was out of any job. He picked up a few Monday Q's, bounced around but struggled to find anything steady.
He went back to KFT with Brandon Harkins, then had a chance to caddie for Lexi for awhile. Did that for a bit before getting let go. Back to Harkins.
Then at the beginning of this year Ricky called, the pair had worked together some on KFT, and the pair started working together again at the start of this season.
And last week, 8 years into his caddying career Colton got his first win on the PGA Tour. Texted with him, as always he was so appreciative, one of the good dudes.
He also said "This feels good, but back to grind right away, this was business trip for us, bigger goals ahead."
The pair is tied for the lead

@acaseofthegolf1 @GregChalmersPGA @BillyHo_Golf Billy seems so invested in TGL. I Actually enjoy it the most the weeks he plays, and he unfortunately is a gator. Probably the dig just stung because there are so many against it already and not much positive

@GregChalmersPGA @BillyHo_Golf Billy when he sees my thousands of tweets promoting the players playing under the pga tour umbrella

@MyGolfSpy I think this is the hardest test for you to get right. Especially on the comfort scale. So individual in preference. G/fore and Ecco are light years about the top 5 in comfort for me
English

Most of you are wearing really awful golf shoes
But it's not your fault...
You were told to stick to what you knew, buy what was on sale or whatever your friends were wearing
We did the testing, so you can stop guessing

I have a lot of respect for Gary Players’ place in the history of the game. He has won 9 majors (same as Ben Hogan) and only trails Walter Hagen, Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus in majors won.
That being said, I disagree with this public method of protesting Augusta National’s decision.
They are a private club and he is not a member. An invite is a privilege, not a given.
GOLF.com@GOLF_com
Gary Player says Augusta National denied his request to play a round with his three grandsons. “I have been an ambassador for Augusta for all these years, yet they won’t let me have one round of golf in my life with my three grandsons." Player has served as an honorary starter at the Masters since 2012. “My grandsons are dying to know about their grandfather’s episodes on that golf course ... All the golf courses that have hosted the Open, the US Open and the PGA would oblige, but they won’t do it at Augusta." Should Augusta allow the 3x Masters champion one round with his grandsons or do you agree with the club’s decision. (H/T @GolfMonthly)

@ClayTravis Must not like fiscal responsibility, debt pay down, population and GDP growth. Not to mention the most effective disaster response in the country.

@flushingitgolf @SharkGregNorman What were the green speeds? Great performance but equipment fit the course setup then

In 1994, Greg Norman won The Players Championship, destroying the scoring record by 6 shots with an opening 63, followed by 3 x 67s, for a 24 under par total.
With the recent discussion about The Players being the “fifth major”, what does Greg think?
“Negative, mate. There are only 4 Majors.
And back in my day before the TPC Championship they were calling for the Australian Open to be the 5th. Just like tennis slams.”
The Shark has joined the many former champions who have spoken out on the issue to say The Players Championship should not be a major. But while we are on the subject, does he think the Australian Open should be the fifth major?
“No. In my day, Nicklaus, Palmer, Player all played consistently before my era. It had incredible international support then. Not now.”
His scoring record at The Players Championship still stands to this day. So, where does he rank that performance in his career?
“In total performance top 3 for sure.
“My only bogey was a three putt on the Sunday. The week before at Bay Hill I had a bogey free final round.”
Prior to the event, the Shark told Pete Dye he was going to “chew up” TPC Sawgrass, and he did just that. It’s the best performance we will likely ever see at The Players Championship, and it was done more than 30 years ago. With the inferior equipment to the modern day, that is so impressive 👊 🇦🇺

@Mike_kim714 No hat? Was it too windy? If so can you send me one from the pro shop?

-Some highlights of my round.
-8 was downwind and I hit driver over the trees and drove the green.
-15 was 138 yds straight into a wind… I hit a really nice low 7i that normally goes 185 and it came up 15 yds short in the bunker. Ball was going backwards when it landed. The pitch mark in the sand was ahead of my golf ball haha
-16 was 230 wind HOWLING in off the left, hit a low hooking 3wd that rolled into the right bunker. About 20 yds away, I had a perfect lie in the bunker, straight into the wind and I purposely hit the spiniest bunker shot I could, it got to within 6 yds of the pin in the air and then the wind got it, pushed it back 17 yds away from the pin bounced back towards me and spun to roll past where I was. Basically a negative 2 yd shot. The member I was with said it was one of the craziest shot he’s ever seen lol
-17 straight into the wind, I hit driver 5i low hook around the Cypress trees from 150. Missed it left of the green and this hole was basically unplayable haha. I chipped it to a back pin and was happy with my shot and the ball rolled off the green towards the front and into the water
-18, downwind, hit driver into the left green-side bunker lol.

Thoughts from Cypress Point:
-Cypress Point Club is AWESOME
-Easily top 5 course I’ve ever played. It’s a slightly shorter more fun and exciting course compared to Pebble. The greens are super undulating as a typical Mackenzie design. Some really small pockets and tiers that make for super fun shots where like Augusta, you can play away from pins to roll it closer.
-The three distinct styles of trees, dunes, ocean all have unique shapes and designs. The massive dunes especially made the course visually great and also a unique challenge
-I got to see two different sides of Cypress. It was beautiful and calm for the front nine and then it got WINDY starting on 11… like golf ball not staying on green windy.
-The members that hosted me were awesome to play with and great people. Had lunch overlooking the 16th hole and the ocean. What a day.
-If I could only play one course for the rest of my life, I’m pretty sure it’d be Cypress Point.

@Top100Rick Have you played his palm beach par 3 course? It’s great with great views

Raymond Floyd was as tough a golfer that has ever lived.
Look at his top 10 golf courses.
Literally just a list of courses that will kick your teeth in and then stomp on your lifeless body.
He famously stood up to Seve for coughing during swings during the Ryder Cup. “I heard you have a cough, you won’t be having one today”. Seve’s cough was cured.
Ray Floyd is a legend. They don’t make em like him anymore.
