Don't you think that the SA and many of you who planned to vote for an opposition without understanding the manifestos, ideology of the political party, and the person you want to vote for are despicable? Let me ask you, what policy differences do you believe the opposition will implement to improve your life that will be different from the current administration's policy? Do you think the opposition will restore the fuel subsidy? Do you think they will introduce a dual exchange rate? Are you aware that most of the leaders of ADC were involved in privatizing NEPA? Do you realize that the security crisis started when the ADC leader was in government? Sometimes I look at many of you and cannot help but shake my head. If only you knew the suffering you are about to bring upon yourselves if the opposition wins.

I had a conversation with a serving SSA to a Northern APC governor a few days ago. He told me clearly he will not vote for Tinubu and his own principal and that they are ready to work against them. According to him, “these people are clueless, useless and irresponsible.” That says everything.

God might have forgiven Dino Melaye his numerous sins while in the Senate between 2015 to 2019. If not, then Asiwaju is above us in the use of clemency. There are some people you should not give real power if you want peace in the land. They would wield it more than Bashorun Gaa. In the Senate, during the period mentioned, Bukola Saraki was like Napoleon while Dino was Squealer. Dino was ruthless with power and I would cite two instances. Dino had a quarrel with Remi Tinubu in the chamber. Dino was drunk with power and called Remi a dog. He called her a thug and he said he could beat her and impregnate her. Do you see madness in that? Do you now see why I said Asiwaju was a different man? A different president would not allow Dino to escape severe punishment for that insult. What Dino suggested was rape in his rage. The second instance was when Ali Ndume was suspended for six months. Some of those who suspended Ndume then were the ones shouting when Natasha was suspended for the same length of time. That is the hypocrisy I talked about in our politics. What did Nduke do? He moved a motion with a prayer. In the public domain, accusations were moving from one post to another to the effect that Bukola Saraki brought in a car with fake documents. Melaye too was accused of parading a fake certificate from ABU. To clear the names of the two, Ndume moved a motion to investigate the matters. That was his offence. They suspended him for good six months. If you begin to pick all those leaders in the opposition one by one and look at their past, you would ask iNEC to conduct an election of YES or NO to elect Asiwaju in 2027. Aworere Babatunde Awoyemi

Jikwoyi Building Collapse: Wike Orders Arrest of Owner, Govt Takeover Of Land For Public Use The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, has ordered for the immediate arrest and seizure of the plot of land where a multi-story hotel building collapsed last Friday, in the Jikwoyi area of the nation's capital, Abuja. In a stern warning to developers, the Minister, who conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the site on Tuesday, said the structure was erected without approval from the FCT Department of Development Control. ​ Wike said the collapse occurred after the developer repeatedly ignored "stop-work" notices issued by the Department of Development Control. "Despite the lack of formal approval, the company proceeded with construction, leading to the eventual structural failure. ​"There was no approval for the construction of this building," the Minister stated during the site visit. "Development Control had issued stop work notices, but the company ignored the notices and continued regardless," he stated. The minister disclosed that although no fatality was recorded, some persons sustained injuries and were taken to hospital, noting that the outcome could have been more severe. He announced that the FCT Administration would take over the land for public use, adding that those responsible for the illegal construction would face prosecution in accordance with the law. ​The Minister said the local community will be consulted to determine a suitable public-purpose project to be built on the reclaimed land. Wike emphasised the need for strict compliance with building regulations, stressing that obtaining approval allows authorities to monitor construction standards and ensure the use of appropriate materials. He directed relevant agencies to strengthen enforcement measures, including the demolition of structures built without approval, in order to prevent future incidents. “It is important that we act decisively. Where there is clear violation, the law must take its course,” he said. The minister reiterated the administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging developers to adhere strictly to laid-down procedures to avoid sanctions. He emphasized that the government's primary concern was the safety of lives, noting that buildings constructed without supervision often utilize sub-standard materials.
