Joint Statement: Apple and Google have entered into a multi-year collaboration under which the next generation of Apple Foundation Models will be based on Google's Gemini models and cloud technology. These models will help power future Apple Intelligence features, including a more personalized Siri coming this year.
After careful evaluation, Apple determined that Google's Al technology provides the most capable foundation for Apple Foundation Models and is excited about the innovative new experiences it will unlock for Apple users. Apple Intelligence will continue to run on Apple devices and Private Cloud Compute, while maintaining Apple's industry-leading privacy standards.

🎉 So cool! PostgreSQL 18 can now do Index Skip Scans, meaning that you can now use the Index even when filtering by the second column.
Other worth noting features:
1️⃣ Asyn I/O when scanning pages from the disk
2️⃣ Virtual columns that can be computed at query time (great for JSON path indexing)
3️⃣ Time-sorted UUID via uuidv7()

It is nearly impossible to differentiate fact from fiction in 2025.
I read this post by Trump, decided to just quickly run it through AI as a test.
From what I found, basically none of what he said is true.
Not a political post, literally just trying to fact check.
Here you go:
1/ Claim: The U.S. was “talked into” spending $350B on an unwinnable war.
Fact: The U.S. has sent ~$113B in aid, not $350B. A proposed package could bring it to $140-160B, but nowhere near what Trump claimed. The war was not started by the U.S.—Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.
2/ Claim: The war “never had to start.”
Fact: This ignores that Russia launched a full-scale invasion of a sovereign nation. The U.S. and NATO attempted diplomacy, but Putin chose to invade anyway.
3/ Claim: Half of U.S. aid to Ukraine is “missing.”
Fact: No evidence supports this claim. U.S. watchdog reports (Pentagon, USAID) found no major misallocation of funds. Corruption is always a concern, but Trump’s claim is baseless.
4/ Claim: Europe isn’t paying its fair share, and their aid is guaranteed while the U.S. gets nothing back.
Fact: Europe has contributed more total aid than the U.S. (~$144B+). U.S. aid includes military grants, but it also benefits American defense contractors and strengthens U.S. influence.
5/ Claim: Zelensky is a “dictator” for canceling elections.
Fact: Ukraine is under martial law due to Russia’s invasion, making elections impractical and unsafe. All major political parties support postponing elections until the war ends. Most Ukrainians agree. This is not dictatorship.
Conclusion: Trump’s statement downplays Russia’s role as the aggressor and misrepresents U.S. and European support for Ukraine. Ukraine did not start the war, and most of his claims don’t hold up to facts.

Mr. President, Ukraine did not “start” this war. Russia launched an unprovoked and brutal invasion claiming hundreds of thousands of lives. The Road to Peace must be built on the Truth.🇺🇸🇺🇦
