Its hard to determine that because buildings are different in what they pay but ill give the best example I can from off the internet. Ex: 69 unit in Washington Heights Listed price - $15.9m (not sure if it’ll sell for that price but lets assume this is the market value - DOF could have a higher or lower market value) Tax assessment (45%) $6,986,250 Current tax: 12% of $6.98m = $838,350 Per apartment = $838k/69 units = $12,149 $12,149/12 months = $1,012 per month just in taxes Proposed tax increase 12% ➡️ 13.09% (Remember 9% increase doesnt mean 12% to 21% - NYC single family homes are at 20% so they would go from 20% to 22%) Proposed tax: $6,986,250 x 13.09% = $914,377/69 units = $13,251…12 months New tax per month = $1104 per month About a $92 increase per month - 3% raise Were not including ConEd who already raised their electric utilities by 10% due to property taxes increases by NYS last month. Gas most likely master metered and increased by 10% as well. Let say a $30 increase if utilities are included. So for this Washington Heights building. The rent for a 2bd (4F from this building before both increases) went from $2650 to $2770 when the next lease renewal comes up in 12/2026 due to property tax increases by NYS passed down by ConEd and the proposed NYC tax. Some people think that $120 per month increase isnt alot, but for a neighborhood like Washington Heights, it is.

Tim Pool is right in his analysis. The officer was NOT in front of her vehicle until AFTER she backed up. The front tires then accelerate while they are pointed towards the agent, and appear to spin out on the ICE. This is all the information the ICE agent had in the moment. Also, there was no reason for her to back up to leave. The road was clear in front of her and the ICE agents were to the left and right of her car. The ICE agent only ended up in front because she backed up. This leads me to believe she wasn’t just trying to leave. Chat - what do you think?

Blaming Tyler Adams for this is a bit disingenuous, he was not going to able to reach Ekitike without conceding a penalty kick and possibly getting a red. But had he pretended that he could have stopped the play… many would have been ok with it.
