"Indians control most Fortune 500 companies, and are also totally incompetent" is a hell of a take.
Poi@poiThePoi

@AliceFromQueens @SaladBarFan @Toy__Truck 45% of their medical degrees are fake as in they never even went to medical school. NINETY FIVE percent of their CS degrees are worse than me teaching you for 20 minutes ("Fizzbuzz"). Thus of course they control all FAAMNGs, and most F500s.

Unfortunately they are the brains behind your silicon valley- Google, AI tech, Facebook, Instagram etc. America will struggle to make single cotton if it cancels H1-B. That's the visas that made the US land men on the moon, send curiosity rover to Mars, build Stealth fighter jets, build nuclear weapons and many more. It's a program that is used in harnessing all the best brains of the world. I dare President @realDonaldTrump to cancel H1-B visa and lets see if US won't be buying nearly every tech from China and other countries

Idiots, these workers were invited by US companies on work visas, initially for 3 years, with extensions up to 6 years total. The US government has vetted and approved their visas, and these workers have fulfilled all obligations of their legal status. If someone is invited to work here for 3 years with a pathway to permanent residency, they will not stay in a hotel; they will buy or lease properties and have children who attend school. What this administration has done is ridiculous. All these people have valid visas but need a new stamp in their passports, and USCIS instructed them to return to their home countries for it. They followed the instructions, went home, completed biometrics, and when it was time for stamping, they received emails stating they must wait another 6 months or longer. Until then, they cannot return to their families in the US. In some cases, the husband is stranded; in others, it is the spouse and children. There is no real rhyme or reason for this nonsense other than to make life miserable for these legal immigrants. Again, your issue should really be with the corporations who have hired these workers and not the workers themselves. Find your spine and protest those who are really bringing these workers here.

“Just leave them there!” This shows what an ignorant, uninformed commentator you are and choose to remain. Amazing how many idiots listen to your uneducated posts. To name a few that have made YOUR life better: - Satya Nadella — Born in Hyderabad, he joined Microsoft in 1992 on an H-1B visa after graduate studies in the US. He rose through the ranks to become CEO in 2014, transforming Microsoft into a cloud-computing powerhouse with a focus on Azure, AI, and inclusive growth. - Sundar Pichai — From Chennai (originally Madurai), he joined Google in 2004 on an H-1B visa after studies at Stanford and Wharton. He led the development of Chrome and Android, becoming CEO of Google in 2015 and then Alphabet in 2019, driving innovations in search, AI, and cloud services. - Arvind Krishna — From Dehradun, he joined IBM in the 1990s on an H-1B visa. He became CEO in 2020, steering the company toward hybrid cloud, AI (including Watson), and quantum computing. - Jayshree Ullal — Raised in New Delhi, she began her US career on an H-1B visa and became CEO of Arista Networks, growing it into a major player in cloud networking with multibillion-dollar valuations. - Jyoti Bansal — From Rajasthan, an IIT Delhi graduate, he arrived in the US on an H-1B visa around 2000. He founded AppDynamics (sold to Cisco for $3.7 billion) and later Harness, an AI software platform valued at $5.5 billion, becoming a billionaire entrepreneur. - Aravind Srinivas — From Chennai, he transitioned to an H-1B visa after US studies and co-founded Perplexity AI, a rising AI search engine company challenging traditional giants. Other Indian-origin leaders who have risen to CEO roles in major US companies (often starting careers facilitated by the H-1B ecosystem) include Shantanu Narayen (Adobe) and Neal Mohan (YouTube). These individuals highlight how H-1B entrants have driven innovation, created jobs, and led some of the world's most valuable companies, contributing significantly to US economic growth in tech and beyond.

Piers Morgan once worked here on a visa. Trevor Noah once worked here on a visa. So did Sundar Pichai. Satya Nadella. Elon Musk. Zoom’s Eric Yuan. eBay’s Jeffrey Skoll. Now apply the same reality test: If any of them traveled abroad and their visa stamping appointment got delayed/canceled because a U.S. consulate screwed up — are they stranded outside the country? Yes. Because their job, home, and life are in the U.S., but the “stamp” is still the gate. Same logic. Same system. Same risk.

🚨 As H-1B rules tighten in the U.S., Big Tech just added 32,000+ jobs in India this year. Meta, Google, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix … all expanding overseas hiring in AI, cloud, and data roles. When companies claim they “can’t find talent” here, why does the hiring surge happen abroad the moment visa rules get stricter? Question for lawmakers: Are you going to just watch this play out — or act to protect American jobs, wages, and training before the damage is permanent? @StephenM @berniemoreno @SenEricSchmitt @RepGosar @JDVance moneycontrol.com/news/business/…
