@arse2mouse Genuinely one of the worst performances I've seen from a PL team.
2-0 down. Attacking throw-in, in line with edge of box. Thrown back to Mings on halfway line to pass along back line.
Is it to lose this game then Forest have to play first XI tomorrow?
@YankeeGunner Also a dreadful sign of things to come.
Arsenal desperately need Nottingham Forest to knock Aston Villa out on Thursday night because this Villa team going to the Etihad drunk after a Europa League win 3 days before City will be disastrous.
They genuinely could concede 6-7.
Spurs caught a huge break with this fixture. Villa will nothing to play for and their season on the line Thursday. Arguably Spurs’ easiest fixture of the run-in as it played out.
@TomCantonMedia Full names of Brazilian footballers are great:
Pele - Edson Arantes do Nascimento
Ronaldinho - Ronaldo de Assis Moreira
Gabriel Jesus - Gabriel Fernando de Jesus Offside
@arse2mouse He's done the "you've got advantage....oh, you've now been absolutely clattered" stuff which infuriates fans.
Just blow the whistle, don't let oppo have a second whack
@_PhilCosta He's fallen short individually at times but look at the effect when people are running alongside and around him. What a difference not having the bluntness of Madueke and Martinelli either side of him.
He's a front and centre man - play to his strengths
Mate, Arsenal are generating some #footie of the highest order. Gyokeres with his best half for the club and it's not even close.
Everything he hasn't been doing this season is more than being done - and to an excellent standard. Fair play to the big man.
This is liquid soccer. So damn good. The speed of play and the intent. The second goal won't count but if they keep playing like this a second (and third? fourth?) will come.
@alexmoneypenny One thing we need to do is the Wenger way of playing reserves and youngsters all the way through the Carabao.
It's a pointless competition, worth little, and yet 2 legs against top PL opposition in an already-busy January has knocked us in successive seasons.
How we “arrive” into April/May from a fitness perspective has to be looked at.
City grow into it, their players look fit and in form at the business end.
We always look leggy and desperate to be on the sun loungers.
We recruited to fix this — Mikel & club must address it.
@alexmoneypenny I know he's only 10 but Dowman's dribbling and close control could give us something. I guess it's just his defensive work that would be a big risk.
Before anything else you need application — we’ve had that.
For me the RHS is the issue. Ben to deal with Doku/Mosquera’s yellow & Gabi gives us a different energy in behind.
1-1 is a fine result. Just keep going ❤️
(Absolutely hating every second of this)
