Life is the very opposite of death, and therefore you must at very least think noisy and colorfully

The Salt Lake Tribune
A Salt Lake City crowd marched through shut down streets from Washington Square Park to the Capitol, with many shouting, “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA,” along with, “Hey hey, ho ho, Donald Trump has got to go.” More: sltrib.com/news/2026/03/2…

@SMacFhilib I’m not a ND fan. This was one of the best runs (considering the game and talent he ran through) that I’ve ever seen.

Latter-day Saints weren't happy that the Daily Wire had on Joe Heschmeyer to talk about us, but not to us. Hopefully that will happen one day. In the meantime I sat down with Joe Heschmeyer to challenge him on what he said regarding the Adam-God doctrine. youtu.be/gFtj5rr1ekY?si…

@Rultpwr So it was a restoration move James? That’s why you guys don’t do it anymore? Jesus just wanted to do it for a little bit? Like just a little restoration? You realize all your animal blood covenants will all be BC. Do you know that Jesus came and got red of all that stuff James?

I can’t get past the contrast between what Latter-day Saints teach and what the Bible actually presents about the knowledge of Christ before His coming. In LDS theology, God is said to have clearly preached the gospel to Adam—including detailed knowledge of Jesus Christ, His atonement, and salvation through His name and baptism. That implies that from the very beginning, people understood with great clarity that Christ would come, die, and rise again. There’s essentially no mystery. But when you turn to the New Testament, you see a very different picture. Over and over, it says that the message of Christ—especially His death—was a mystery hidden for ages: •Colossians 1:26–27 •1 Corinthians 2:7–8 •2 Corinthians 3:14–16 These passages emphasize that God’s redemptive plan in Christ was not fully revealed or understood beforehand. In fact, the Gospels show that even during Jesus’ earthly ministry, people did not understand the plan of the cross. When Peter confesses that Jesus is the Messiah (Matthew 16:13–23; Luke 9:20–22), Jesus immediately tells the disciples to tell no one. Then He begins to explain that He must suffer, be killed, and be raised on the third day. Peter responds, “This shall never happen to you.” Jesus then rebukes him strongly, saying, “Get behind me, Satan.” Why such a strong response? Because Peter was opposing the very mission Jesus came to accomplish. Scripture also suggests that the full meaning of the cross was not understood—even by spiritual powers. As Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2:8, “If they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” The Gospels repeatedly show that the disciples themselves did not grasp what Jesus was saying about His death: •Luke 9:43–45 — “It was concealed from them, so that they might not perceive it.” •Luke 18:31–34 — “They understood none of these things… this saying was hidden from them.” Even after His arrest, the disciples scattered, and after His resurrection, Thomas doubted until he saw Jesus for himself (John 20:24–29). So there’s a stark difference: In the New Testament, the central elements of the gospel—Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection—were hidden, misunderstood, and only fully revealed in time. By contrast, LDS teaching presents these same elements as clearly known and widely understood from the very beginning. That raises an important question: which picture aligns with the biblical text? Throughout Scripture, God reveals His plan progressively and at the appointed time. Even figures like Moses—described as very humble (Numbers 12:3)—did not possess full knowledge of the future work of Christ. This wasn’t because they would have rejected it, but because God, in His wisdom, chose to reveal these things gradually. LDS I urge you guys to read the gospels, I suggest Luke. With no filter, no LDS lens. Drop your assumptions and biases at the door.. Pray to the God of the Bible and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to you all.
