@drsuffy 3 x 4 means 3 sets of 4 just as 4 x 3 means four sets of 3. The first number is the multiplier and tells you how many sets. The second number is the multiplicand and it tells you how many in each set.

I see some people saying the teacher is right and this is a commutative lesson. The teacher is not right and if they meant it as a commutative lesson then they don't understand the commutative property. The commutative property applies within operators, not across them. All it means is that you can rearrange numbers in an equation (Addition or Multiplication only) and it will not affect the result. Either answer shown would be correct for the question, but in no way teaches the commutative property.

@AnjaliEnjeti The smart thing to do would have been to vote for Harris and then lay on the criticism and pressure campaign once she was elected. You had a better chance of her bending your way than Trump or a nonviable 3rd party candidate.
