I’m hearing of some very poor driving taking place in parts of West Belfast to mark the death of a “low-level drug dealer” (described by the Belfast Telegraph - terrible outlet by the way). Nothing new here - very poor standard of driving in such parts regularly. Dangerous also!

Eventually ‘leaders’ within unionism are going to have to ask why they can’t tolerate even the slightest degree of visibility for the indigenous language of the place where they live. These aren’t even monolingual, they can’t stand an Irish/correct translation below English.

Sinn Fein have attempted to force Irish language signage into areas where they couldn’t even manage to reach their own 15% threshold. What did they seriously expect to achieve from this? They could have engaged with people and attempted to persuade them of the merits of dual language signage, but apparently they would rather antagonise people and build resentment.
