Perceived physical “limitations” have created false ceilings on some of the players that have become the best in the game. Cameron Boozer also has one of those false ceilings. The reality is, he’s developed skills and mental traits that Caleb Wilson, for as awesome as a prospect as he is, may not develop. But he’s perceived as having a much higher ceiling because of his overall athletic package, when in reality he’s far from a finished product in the other areas of the game. Love Caleb Wilson, love Cameron Boozer. Both incredible prospects worthy of high picks. I just have a hard time saying the player who is offensively gifted in key areas has a “low ceiling”

Quain is a power-based paint defender with the foot-speed to switch on guards. Caleb is a weak-side shot blocker.
Offensively, they would struggle a bit as Caleb doesn't (yet) have a consistent 3-ball. But man...
they're the SLAP draft.

@ZarkTweets Morez is really interesting. I can't find a hole in his game. He's explosive, strong, big, plays hard, defends at a high level. Can hit the three.
He's not supremely skilled like Boozer, but he's going to be a really good pro for a decade. Chicago dude too.

@BearsShowYo Yes of course. As obsessed as folks become with verticality, strength and skill matters as much, if not more. Boozer will quickly be an allstar and projects as a hub more quickly than Caleb, who is an elite prospect as well.

@Stacey21King You're on point here Stacey. Boozer is going to be fantastic. He does literally everything except block shots, and is the youngest player in the draft. And people rag on his verticality: sure he's not a skywalker, but he does it at 255!

Boozer is getting his game picked apart which just kills me!! They’re saying he’s non athletic and can’t shoot? He’s going to have a hard time guarding guys his size or bigger? Oh how they forget what they said about Duncan and Brunson? Same things but look at their careers. Look at the body of work because Boozer is a winner at all levels and that won’t change at the NBA level. Kid is a winner!!

Duke's Cam Boozer measured 6'8.25 barefoot and 253 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine, with a 7'1.5 wingspan and 9'0 standing reach.
