See the attention given to super 4! See how it took portable and other people to make Nigerian sports people happy? The time and finance invested in that? Show me any concentrated effort like that to fix referees, player welfare! Insurance? Coaches welfare? Fan experience? Media engagement? And 99 other issues? We will do party, some people will get paid, congratulate themselves and we continue again until next year.
Wendell Okaro@Dojran2021

So Nigerian sports becomes purely reactionary. No long-term planning. No long-term philosophy. No continuity. No real sporting culture. Everything becomes knee-jerk reactions. From the presidency down to the smallest football academy administrator, most decisions are temporary reactions instead of part of a long-term vision. And that is why Nigerian sports keeps moving in circles while everybody keeps fighting over who will be the next crab to escape the bucket. And this is why most sports administrators in Nigeria are obsessed with conferences, tournaments, ceremonies, cups, summits, travel, photo ops, and media appearances. Everything is event-based. Very little is framework-based. There is more focus on: Hosting events. Attending conferences. Flying abroad. Taking pictures. Launching competitions. Giving speeches. Than there is on: Nutrition systems. Youth development structures. Coaching education. Sports science. Career development. Mental health support. Retirement planning for athletes. Human capacity development. Data systems. Infrastructure sustainability. Long-term league planning. There is no serious long-term structure behind most of these things.

It’s time we address player and coach welfare in the NPFL. We’ve seen coaches earning as little as ₦100k and ₦200k per month, yet we expect the league to grow. Mr. Elegbeleye, we can and must do better.

Big respect to some of the academy owners in Nigeria 🇳🇬, who are running the business on a deficit mood!

There's no justifiable way a 2-bedroom in Dawaki is going for 5 million per annum. ThThis getting out of hand. Just 3 years ago… people relocate to places like dawaki because it’s cheap and affordable outskirts area of Abuja. What the actual fvck in going on in this country!

@Olisascout I believe you know how the system works, I shouldn't educate you on that. Let dust be settled before you dish out these information. It's a brotherly advice but you can do as you wish.

Djigui Koita 16 years 🇲🇱 striker is incredible. about Koita I love is that, he knows when to bring the game to ‘live’ (not many young 🇲🇱 strikers know that). I won’t head to Mali to scout strikers, however, for Koita —it was worth staying a bit longer to let him “happen to me”
