So Nigerian sports becomes purely reactionary. No long-term planning. No long-term philosophy. No continuity. No real sporting culture. Everything becomes knee-jerk reactions. From the presidency down to the smallest football academy administrator, most decisions are temporary reactions instead of part of a long-term vision. And that is why Nigerian sports keeps moving in circles while everybody keeps fighting over who will be the next crab to escape the bucket. And this is why most sports administrators in Nigeria are obsessed with conferences, tournaments, ceremonies, cups, summits, travel, photo ops, and media appearances. Everything is event-based. Very little is framework-based. There is more focus on: Hosting events. Attending conferences. Flying abroad. Taking pictures. Launching competitions. Giving speeches. Than there is on: Nutrition systems. Youth development structures. Coaching education. Sports science. Career development. Mental health support. Retirement planning for athletes. Human capacity development. Data systems. Infrastructure sustainability. Long-term league planning. There is no serious long-term structure behind most of these things.

This Mamadou Sangare guy is special. What a player!!!!

🚨🇳🇬 Real Betis are willing to offer €15 million to sign Super Eagles forward Christantus Uche from Getafe this summer, after Crystal Palace declined to activate their permanent transfer clause following his loan spell at Selhurst Park. If completed, Uche would become the fifth Nigerian to play for Betis, following Finidi George, Victor Ikpeba, Sunny and Nosa Igiebor. 🇳🇬🔥
