The GDP per capita difference between the OP’s state of New Jersey & North Carolina decreased 27% over the past 20 years. Connecticut vs NC dropped by ~half. RI is now at par & PA is next. All while seeing ~3.5x-7.5x the population growth rate, which you would expect to dilute GDP/capita. This is also before adjusting for cost of living differences. PPP-adjusted, GDP/capita for New Jersey and North Carolina move to even for example. But sure. 4th world economic conditions within the next 2-3 senate election cycles.












I get a kick out of posts like this. At any rate, it’s gonna be a big fourth world country.. “The South was the only region with positive net domestic migration, where the number of people entering the region exceeded those leaving.”
