#Gaming: Rwanda’s National Lottery has been acquired by a new company, MOJA Group Inc, under it management of Georges Boukazi. Today @RDBrwanda CEO @afrika_jean and #Boukazi, signed a 10-year Operating Agreement . According to #RRB, Group Inc., through its subsidiary MOJA Rwanda Ltd., will operate the National Lottery in line with international standards, with revenues supporting public-interest programmes that benefit communities across the country.

#Update: A previously classified letter written by #CharlesUwihoreye in June 1994 alleged that #AgatheKanziga was among the powerful figures who ordered the killing of #Tutsi from October 1990, during the liberation struggle launched by the Rwandan Patriotic Army. The letter was sent to René Galinié, a former French military adviser in #Kigali, to inform him about the ongoing massacres across Rwanda. After keeping the document for many years, Galinié finally handed it over in 2022 to Vincent Duclert, who led an investigation into France’s role in Rwanda between 1990 and 1994. This follows the recent afresh investigation on Kanziga by Paria Court on her alleged complicity role in preparation and execution of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi that claimed over 1 million innocent lives in 100 days.

#Justice: Former Rwandan diplomat Eugene-Richard Gasana has been found guilty of sexual assault by the Supreme Court of the State of New York over the rape of Benita Uruhisho, who worked as an intern at Rwanda’s UN mission he once headed. A Manhattan jury unanimously ruled against Gasana on May 7, ordering him to pay $5 million in damages, while the case, ongoing since 2019, still allows him the option to appeal.
