@JaymeKnyx @6ixbuzztv it's cute (and a bit pathetic) that you and your ilk always seem to jump to insults because you don't have the data or knowledge to actually defend what you say. good luck, but beware, you just might get what you want and realize the adults were protecting you from yourself.

@OnlineInference @6ixbuzztv That book already closed buddy and we've been at this shitshow scam for more than 40 years but the last 10 years have been the absolute worst in league history! "Afford our aging population." Spoken like a true asshole. 🚩

Canada’s population dropped in 2025, the first time ever since 1867. The population dropped by 102,436 people in 2025

@JaymeKnyx @6ixbuzztv i didn't suggest folks should. i can also look ahead more than 3 months and see that if we don't shore up our number of younger people, there is no way in hell we can afford our aging population. shall we make MAID mandatory?

@JaymeKnyx @6ixbuzztv so when the population continues to drop, and healthcare and other costs skyrocket as the boomer sap pensions, gen x starts to collect them, and there are fewer taxpayers left to pay for all that - what's the plan?

Why focus on who's paying for it? Because I'm not paying taxes, so we can gift a pipeline to some of the largest and most profitable companies in the world. If it can provide a proven ROI for Canadians, I'm all for Canadians investing. If it can't, then leave it to the private sector (though it should be made easier than it is for this sort of thing to get done when the capital is there).

@OnlineInference @junonewscom Idk why focus on that part. A pipeline is a national project that we can all benefit from. But thats not even the important part. Its an investment to the future. One where america can not dictate shit anymore.

@jojojojojobz @junonewscom I'm certainly not one to argue about diversity equalling security, but what looks attractive at $100+/barrel looks a little less so when it's back down to $60. And if we invest $30B, how do we get that back from the industry? Do we nationalize, or is it just a gift?

Jojo@jojojojojobz·
At an estimated cost of $30B it is 100% worth every penny to be way less reliant and not dependent on america. And also less import of gulf states oil. If we also invest on more refineries then we should have much more leverage against trump. At this current status quo, we cant escape america and every oil we sell them is at a massive loss.

@jojojojojobz @junonewscom Who was going to pay to build it? Remember, oil was at $60/barrel until this conflict. TMX couldn't get commitments, so how would this new one?

@junonewscom It is very surprising to me how many Canadians have ZERO IDEA how our own oil industry works. If Pierre was elected last year we would have the east pipeline being built right now.

Pierre, these poles never tell the truth every time I do a pole Pierre is farther ahead by literally thousands of votes so the polls are bullshit. In my opinion doesn’t matter what question you’re asking Canadians. The polls never tell the truth. All these pollsters sure they take the polls and then they use it against us.

Fair, the first line seems to have been cut off. :s My point is simply, if you think folks "naive" for backing Carney, give them a choice. Canadians do not and will not back Pollievre, but the willingness of Canadians to support other Conservatives tells us it's the leader, not the party. Do what needs to be done.

@TodMartens3 @sarobertsonca Remember when the Liberals replaced their leader and won an election? They didn't blame Canadians, and some liked their leader, but he couldn't win. The Conservatives should do that, and stop pretending it's Canadians' fault.

What I heard: 1 - No, you don't have any legit reference for this. You simply need an excuse to make yourself feel better. 2 - When questioned and you can't back up what you're saying (happens a lot?), you need to resort to insults. You wanna stick with a loser rather than take my advice and look inward and for a new leader, the Liberal Party thanks you for your service. 👍

@OnlineInference @Michphil1998 Is effectively a cabinet position. Even a lefty like yourself could understand that basic promotion without having to be spoonfed as you are begging for

Every Canadian poll assures us that Mark Carney has Canada wide mass support even in conservative provinces like Alberta. If this is true then why are there so many backroom deals to get other party members to cross the floor over to the Liberal party? Surely if they have Canada wide support as the polls assure us they do, he should be confident enough to call an election. Once again, Canada, you’re being lied to. WAKE THE HELL UP!

@OnlineInference @Michphil1998 Likely wrapped up in the position salary, same as Cabinet Ministers make $100k on top of MP salary considering they are similar positions. And salary would be annually, the $100k sounds too much like a one time thing, a bribe

@MikeInOttawa2 @Michphil1998 I'm referring to the $100k. I can't find any evidence to support that number. If not, then it's just being tossed around to make you all feel better about supporting a bleeding party you don't want to fix. Is so, that's a different problem.

@MikeInOttawa2 @Michphil1998 A - Do you have anything verifiable on that? B - If so, are you saying that elected Conservatives are that disloyal? That they can be bought so cheaply? That would sure make me think there are bigger problems with the party than just the leader.
