In this my setting, I've heard a patient brought in dead to me after jumping into the well because of depression. People are struggling to pay for essential healthcare services like basic injections, CS and oxygen. I've had babies die in my arms because parents didn't come quick to the hospital because of funds. Everyone is groaning under this insane hardship. Many homes are broken. Many peoples futures have been jeopardized. Thousands of businesses have folded up. Thousands have dropped out of school. Even doctors are dying anyhow. We can't even afford the healthcare we offer. Many of us treat our families off the books to cut cost. There's unimaginable hardship in the land. The country is not safe. You can't travel far without informing half your family incase you get kidnapped m The road is bad and people die of road traffic accident everyday. Kidnapping is now a booming nationwide industry. Yet our useless leaders are splurging on luxury like no tomorrow. The president is a frog faced evil baron that doesn't care. Flying around and spending billions on frivolity. Then some bastards are still trying to push this evil party down our throat. Brainless people.

They just kidnapped 17 teenagers on their way to write JAMB and the Grand Commander of the Armed forces has not said pim. But you people want us to vote for him again shey?

Our new security man is a Tinubu guy. How did I know? He wears a face cap that carries Tinubu's face 24/7. I asked, this time with a higher tone. "Yes ma, I don too suffer ma!" "Good! Take off that filthy shirt, come to me, I will tip you. It won't be enough for your troubles, but never ever you choose Tinubu, vote a rat instead!' I watched him pull his shirt and face cap, and right there, I knew what this was. A new Nigeria! Continuation to that day This man now said with full chest: “Mummy, èmi ni ọmọ yín ma…” ( mum is me your child) My mum: Ọmọ wo? Ọmọ tani? Tí mo bá bá yín níta, ilé máa ga ju yín lọ!” (Which child? Whose child? If I meet you outside, the ground will be higher than you!) She opened the gate, ayuba gave him the phone, she collected it and threw it like Mecca stone 💀 Locked the gate. I was now outside… homeless in my Ṣàngó outfit. Oh chim He said I should follow him home. I said kuku kill me finally 🙄 Meanwhile, our church was nearby, but as a Celestial, red and black is a taboo… And me? Under 🔴, outside ⚫ So he suggested if he should go home and bring his agbada, I agreed. I wore Agbádá over my sango outfit and entered church. Wives, Abeg give your husbands peace. That is the most valuable thing you can give your husband. Someone I know slept in a hotel yesterday because he said he doesn’t feel safe sleeping in the same roof with his wife. He was sick and a nurse came to give him drip at home. Because he had an argument with his wife a day before, she didn’t care about his health. When the nurse came, she didn’t come out to assist, she fixed the drip and left. He had to call me to please come to his house to help him remove the drip from his hand. I got there and saw her watching tv. I didn’t know what to say or feel. When he escorted me, that was when he told me all that was happening and that if she didn’t care about his health in this time he is sick, then she doesn’t care about his life. That’s why he slept out. Young marriage like this.

The guy collecting money in the danfo I boarded this morning was not the conductor. He was just a passenger the driver trusted. No conductor on board so the driver asked the guy by the door to help collect. He collected from everybody. Nobody had received change yet. We hit traffic. He stepped out quietly to check what was causing the hold up. Nobody suspected anything. Traffic cleared. Werey don japa with the money. The whole bus went silent. Driver's money gone. 24th January 2022. A day I can never forget. I went to eat at Buka Hut at gbagada, just to treat myself and have a good day. Halfway through, my PERIOD came unexpectedly… and I had no pad, no backup, nothing. I didn’t even know. After eating, I decided to get ice Cream, because why not spoil myself a little more? As I stood up, I noticed people staring… but I didn’t understand why. It wasn’t until I got to the ice cream stand that a guy walked up to me quietly and said: “Excuse me… your backside is stained. Please, take my jacket to cover up.” In that moment, I wanted the ground to open and swallow me. But his kindness… it calmed me. No noise. No embarrassment. Just respect. He gave me his jacket, wrapped it around me, and even offered to order me an Uber home. I insisted on paying, but honestly, I was just grateful someone chose kindness over ridicule. I asked how I’d return his jacket. He smiled and said, “Don’t worry about it.” But I took his number anyway…🥰 Today, that same man is my DARLING HUSBAND.😍 And funny enough, Buka Hut is still our favourite spot till today. ❤️ Sometimes, love doesn’t start with butterflies.🦋 Sometimes, it starts with kindness in your most vulnerable moment.✌🏼💖
