@SlLENTPRINCESS totk was a great distraction while i was in bed recovering from my endometriosis surgery, and it was a great excuse to hang out with my mom while she played it. i will always look back at those memories fondly! i just can never forgive it for everything else.

How obtuse people can be?
The Triforce is all over TotK and BotW, but just like Twilight Princess & Echoes of Wisdom, it isn't referred by the name "Triforce", but as "sacred power".
It is within Zelda, but because of the passage of time, she doesn't know much about it's power.

Well I speak with the authority of having actually 100-percented the game (yes, even the Korok seeds), and I say: the lore in TotK is so incomplete, simplistic, and uninteresting that the quantity of it means nothing to most people. Why get invested in a story no one cares about?

It's crazy how much lore from TotK people skipped out on because of "Secret Stone? Demon King?" It's arguable that no single Zelda game has dropped more lore, explicitly AND implicitly, than TotK. I say this w/ authority, producing a 10 pt video series on the founding in TotK.

Skyward Word Zelda was the literal incarnation of a Goddess, Wind Waker Zelda founded a Kingdom, and Ocarina of Time Zelda lead the seven sages who first sealed Ganondorf, but sure: the girl who spent 10,000 years repairing a sword is apparently the legend.

The point of my post was to highlight that OOT's design didn't pop out of nowhere and that its predecessors and successors deserve the limelight as well.

In the past, I criticised BOTW and TOTK for their lack of structure and ways to fix it, got hate for it. EOW did exactly what I proposed.
I now propose they could remake OOT with modern design aspects, and the reaction is equally rabbid.
