Notable development in the Council District 11 race with @TraciParkforLA and Faizah Malik. Update from City Clerk shows a third candidate, Jeremy Wineberg, gets an "Insufficient" on his campaign signatures. Means a 2-person contest, to be decided June 2.

Traci Park’s opponent, Faizah Malik, wrote ULA and is super proud of it. Great work, Faizah! You are responsible for a 30-50% reduction in real estate transactions in LA over $5M and prevented new housing from being built during a housing crisis!

After the death of a pregnant mom riding a bike with her family, @TraciParkforLA all of a sudden cares about bike lanes. But the bike lanes they’re proposing aren’t safe! They’re door zone bike lanes. Even after a tragic death, protected bike lanes aren’t being considered.

LA city leaders advanced a $175K feasibility study for a "mobility hub" for the 2028 Olympics this morning. It's also the site of the Venice Dell affordable housing project. Here's the motion passed by the City Council's Transportation Committee: cityclerk.lacity.org/onlinedocs/201…

The EAA union that reps >6,000 LA city workers (1/5th of the workforce), just unveiled some endorsements in LA city races. Notably, they backed Faizah Malik, who's challenging sitting CD11 CM Traci Park, and Marissa Roy, who's challenging City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto.

Among the requests appears to be an added $850,000 for the attorney, Nossaman, and also to add the Venice Community Housing v. LA city case to that contract's scope.
