Elon Musk has just paid and I am in the mood to share 20% of the earnings to the answer with most likes. I will pick the winner by 8pm today. Question: A used toy gun to rob B. A was arrested the next day. What will A be charged for? Robbery or armed robbery? Remember, a toy gun was used. Law students and lawyers are not allowed to participate.

Love this. lol We will all learn economics by force. Again and again, there is no government coming that will hand you the Nigeria of your dreams. People say things like fuel should be ₦100, dollar should be ₦500, no more taxes, free money for everyone. Sounds great on the surface. You’ll probably hail the president. Lol! Soft life innit? But what happens is that the country will literally implode. On a global scale, we become economically irrelevant. We print and print and print money to fund unrealistic obligations until inflation completely destroys purchasing power and the economy collapses under its own weight. Policies like floating the naira and removing fuel subsidy were attempts to make the economy reflect its true macroeconomic realities instead of the government artificially holding things together to make figures look good on paper. The problem is that people need to separate the pain of reforms from the pain of bad governance. They are not always the same thing. Unfortunately, under this administration, Nigerians are experiencing both at the same time.
John Oyesile, mPSN. MRCPharm.@OyesileJohn

When Peter Obi becomes the president, subsidies will be restored. Fuel will sell cheaper....from over 1k back to 200 naira per litre. The governors who have been receiving x3 of their previous faac allocation will be told to manage their previous share. They can only shout...Obi will tell them to keep quiet and go sort themselves. 2. The forex will be fixed. Dollar will now exchange for 700 naira as the FG will pay the balance. Bureau de change gengs will smile again. I mean, Peter just want us to be happy. Round tripping will resume. Minister of finance, Yesufu, will grant boys easy access to the CBN governor, Amadi. Money will be water. 3. New tax law will be gone. Why should we pay when it is not the government giving us money to do business? 4. Nursing schools? 1bn for everyone. Nurses will enjoy. 5. Seaport per state. All states will have seaport. 6. All lands in the north must be cultivated. This will drive the bokoboys away. 7. The poor will be pulled out of poverty by fire by force...and by rope. 8. All members of the National assemblies will have their salaries cut down. No more wastage. Those who have collected SUVs must return them. We have oyel. We shouldn't suffer.

Lagos developed the Lekki-Epe axis just about 25 years ago, with no green spaces, public parks, designated markets, hospitals, schools, and other public infrastructures, except roads. Now the whole of Phase 1 has become one large shopping complex. From Lekki to Epe, there isn’t a single public park, when there should be at least 5. If Chevron hadn’t taken over that conservation area, it probably would have been turned into an estate. This is isn’t good enough and I don't think it’s too late.

@Mrczar_ This reminds me the time Peter Obi joined a very long queue to shake Tinubu's hand in the Vatican City Even after rubbishingTinubu's name in public, Tinubu still accepted and greeted him with smile and hugs No Enemy at the top, it's only people at the bottom that keeps grudges

This Reno video proves you cannot fake a Peter Obi-type character if it is not in you. Because me, from that shoulder-grabbing alone, I would have gone out of character.

Last week I boarded a bus from Berger to Ijebu-Ode. The conductor turned almost every interaction with passengers into comedy. He mimicked passengers, teased the driver, and even made jokes about the coming election. Everybody was laughing, including me. At some point, he started joking about fake police officers, He said, If you see them just poor them spit for face and give then my number. Nobody took it seriously until we got stopped at a checkpoint. As we were being delayed, one passenger quietly stepped down to speak with the officers. It was until then we relaized we have a police officer inside the bus, A few minutes later, the officers cleared the driver to go. As the journey continued, the conductor suddenly became quiet. Then the officer smiled and said, “Continue your joke now.” Everybody burst into laughter. The conductor cleared his throat and said, As I was saying… police is your friend.

I saw a tweet a few days ago about someone whose success inspires one the most. I have a number of such, but this friend here is one of them. Final year in Ife in 2005/2006, paying N15k or N17k was a struggle. We both wrote Vetiva test after we graduated in November 2006. They sent him an SMS that he passed the test. I did not receive SMS. He joined me in squatting in my bro's BQ anytime he came to Lagos from Osun to write job tests/interviews at the time, so I asked him to give me the number Vetiva used to to text him. I called Vetiva. It happened to be a mistake. I got the interview invite too. Long story short, I got the Vetiva job (pre NYSC job). He didn't. When I got in and was informally chatting with HR on why my friend didn't get the job, I was told it was because he stopd his ground on some questions during the interview and he was considered potentially arrogant. We moved on. 2007 - NYSC, me in Sokoto, he in Maiduguri. We both wrote StanbicIBTC tests too and got the job around the same time as Vetiva. He served in StanbicIBTC branch in Maiduguri. I never took the Stanbic offer. 2008 - we returned from NYSC, back to Lagos. Shell was recruiting. We both applied and were acing all stages. We both got to final stage of Shell - called SRD. Somehow, I didn't attend. He attended and got the job. Shell graduate trainee. 2008. His life changed from there. Later, I got to work with one of the Shell managers that interviewed him and also worked with him later, Oga @jamesodiase, who had left Shell and joined us at @Savannah_Energy, a company I worked later. He said this guy was one of the smartest folks he had ever come across. And one of the reasons he is a star at Shell is his assertiveness. Even if you are his boss and he shares a different view with you, he will disagree with you respectfully. An action that was interpreted as assertiveness. Same quality one prospective employer interpreted as arrogance in 2006 is what is making him shine in another company, on a rapid trajectory. By 2014/2015, he had risen to manager level in Shell, succeeding Olu Veirheijen (now highflying SA to President Tinubu on Energy) as Business Opportunity Manager for Shell Nigeria. Getting to manager level in an IOC within 7 years after recruitment as GT is no small fear. Even more, becoming a senior manager in another country's Shell Operations, Albania, within 13 years of joining. Commercial is one of the biggest roles in an IOC, so leading commercial function for Shell in an European country is a big deal . The young man that could barely afford N17k school fees in 2005. And was turned down by an investment firm in 2006. A life-changing job with Shell in 2008 changed the trajectory. All he had - Bsc Economics (first class, OAU) and a brain good enough to convince his interviewers in Shell to give him a chance. His story inspires me. Don't bother searching for him . This is perhaps his only picture on the Internet, which was posted on official duty for his company. No social media account. Not even LinkedIn.
