I found out today that Kent LA are no longer writing EHCPs with SALT in. SALTs breaching HCPC left right and centre - it is embarrassing to the profession & if you’re a SALT that is complicit in this, I hope your children never need speech and language…

@RCSLT The lack of a comments section does not help to gather further information on private sector therapy practices. Almost all of the questions are entirely focused on the NHS only. Re: waitlist changing criteria to “not accepting referrals for under 3s” is unethical NOT a solution.

@RCSLT Is the focus on developing the workforce going to involve increased collaboration with education? As the focus on speaking and listening is becoming a priority to them. I’m tired of SLT for children being seen as “health” only when we have a huge responsibility in education.

This is anonymous, have you ever had to write reports based on service constraints with your service i.e you knew a child needed more but had to cap at 12 hours etc?
