As always, social media is awash with the dumbest, lowest-IQ pond life imaginable now that the US and Israel have launched a military operation against Iran. And I’m not talking about those who are understandably concerned about prolonged warfare and who actually have an educated understanding of the region’s geopolitics. I’m talking about those who are thick beyond belief and immediately start regurgitating the tired “USA bad, Israel bad” rhetoric. And don’t even get me started on the moronic claims that “Zionism” is somehow to blame for everything. Here are facts. Not feelings... Facts. 🔴 The Iranian regime is a sponsor of global terror. 🔴 It backs and funds militant groups across multiple regions. 🔴 MI5 has reported around 20 foiled terror plots in the UK linked to threats backed/funded by the Iranian regime. 🔴 The Iranian regime has supplied weapons to Russia in the ongoing war against Ukraine. Upset about Ukrainians being killed in missile attacks? Then recognise that the Iranian regime has blood on its hands too. 🔴 And let’s not forget the Iranian people. Millions of them have, for decades, desperately wanted to free themselves from the regime. The regime has slaughtered people in their thousands, executed people in public, destroyed families. Those who managed to flee have been separated from their loved ones for years, desperate for the chance to see them again. You can oppose escalation. You can worry about regional instability. That’s legitimate. But if you are completely ignorant about the subject, and many people clearly are, then either educate yourself or quite simply shut the fuck up.
