Getting closer to 2 years since Trump has been elected, and so far his presidency has been a mess. Has he actually accomplished any of his goals? Interestingly, it’s democratic socialism that seems to benefiting, rather than lib centrism, which is even more unpopular than Trump.

@Stanfordfraser Trump did his usual omnipresent media campaign (obscene numbers of interviews and podcast appearances) even if he did somewhat fewer rallies in 2024.
The debate prep vanishing thing is something that has always stuck in my craw, though.

I think this is true is 2016 & 2020 but I don’t really think Trump out worked Harris in 2024. I do think “disappearing” to do debate prep should be a thing of the past

All three of Trump's opponents (Clinton, Biden, and Harris) all took a bizarre amount of time off the trail to do debate prep and had pretty flimsy schedules in the final weeks of the campaigns. Trump just worked a lot harder than any of them. I'll give him that.

Agreed. Kamala Harris blew it. She made mistakes and inexplicably disappeared from the campaign trail for days at a time in August and September. Meanwhile, Donald Trump was doing 4 events a day. Next nominee has to be tireless and have an unquenchable love for street fighting.
