This is the latest manipulative take on the right. They are manipulating the fact that most people don’t know the layout the Capitol complex. We were all on the Capitol complex - the attack wasn’t just on the dome. The bombs Trump supporters planted surrounded our offices too.

@TheSporkful IIRC, The justice department believes that a president cannot self pardon. If trump did it, the justice department might file charges just to invalidate the pardon

Serious Q: Why *didn't* Trump pardon himself? I understand doing so would be extremely dubious legally, maybe it wouldn't hold up in court. But why not try? Is there a downside to him doing it? I'd be curious to hear from people with legal expertise. Thanks!
