QQL #257, just minted on Tuesday, is one of the most special mints to date, imo. The QQL algorithm is not actually designed to produce these spiral structures that are reminiscent of sunflowers (and other natural phenomena). Instead, it naturally emerged out of the millions of semi-random renders from the algorithm. On top of the packing structure, the color bands are fascinating to me. That perfect red band, that transitions (imperfectly) to yellow and blue before breaking up into greater randomness, is so beautiful to me. This output is a wonderful blend of structure and chaos, which I always treasure. Congrats to @jonathanmarcus on the fabulous mint, along with QQL #256 and #258!

@balajis @balajis One possible solution would be 3d printing screws, nuts, bolts whatever. Tech graduates in the US would definitely start a 3d printing startup building anything from small screw to whatever and thus can bring the manufacturing back to states. What do you think ?

So, it’s a tough problem, but here’s what a realistic solution might look like: 1) First, stop thinking you can win a conventional war against a physically stronger opponent. 2) Second, stop thinking you can level up in the physical world overnight by printing money and willing it into being. Industrial policy is like venture capital, it’s easy to spend money but very hard to do profitably. 3) Third, stop pushing countries to decouple because they will be forced to choose China over the US — or else they don’t get countless basic physical goods. 4) Fourth, start thinking about what a realistic solution looks like given those constraints. Reshoring manufacturing would probably mean AI-based factories with heavy use of robots, along with radical changes to building codes, labor law, and environmental regulations. So, that right there is arguably politically impossible in the current climate. You’d want to combine that with a modest foreign policy that avoids provoking a war that you can’t win, until you’ve spent literally decades rebuilding your strength. So, this is also probably impossible because many people don’t want to hear that their military isn’t infinitely physically powerful, and indeed is arguably the underdog. But hey, at least a note of realism was sounded.

Obviously, you can’t fight your factory. It’s not just about high tech but low tech. China can screw you by withholding screws. “All of a sudden, Washington is reckoning with the fact that so many parts and pieces…are being manufactured…in China.”

@bertcarrier @WifeyAlpha You are not buying the top 20 companies but the index S@P500. This way you are betting for the top companies even in 1989 and even today because the index drops the companies that are not performing good and add the ones that are good. It's dynamic

@dcinvestor And to get your body is autophagy where it start recycling cells thus promoting healthier and longer life. Once you are use to this fasting regimen. Next step would be to do a 1 meal a day fasting, where you eat 1 meal(50% veggies, 25%fat, 25%protein, very less carb) around ..

want to get into fasting a bit more what's better: 8 hour eating window every day (say 12 PM to 8 PM) or total fast for 24 hours ~once a week? something else? so much conflicting info (skip breakfast, or don't), etc. that i don't know what to make of it all
