Major Announcement: Modulr is partnering with the University of Oxford! 🤖🤝🧑🎓 After months of coordination & planning, we are thrilled to finally announce the Access Oxford Initiative in collaboration with @UniofOxford. This initiative will allow prospective students who can't be physically present on Oxford's campus to use Modulr's interface to remotely control a humanoid robot and tour the campus as if they were there in person. With just a computer and an internet connection, these students will be able to see what other students see, ask questions about one of the most prestigious universities in the world, and have full control of where the robot goes. Not only is this a giant leap forward in improving accessibility for students, it also highlights one of many important use cases for remote robot work. We are beyond excited to work with the University of Oxford and help give these students an opportunity previously thought impossible. Coming summer 2026.

Okay so real talk - we have $eMDR tokens that we want to reward people with for participating in our testnet, but there's been 50+ million transactions😵💫
...which means that if we pick random transactions & wallets to reward, there's like a 99% chance it's a bot.
(And btw, having this many bot transactions is a good thing because its a way to test our network. And since it's all free on testnet (no fees), it makes sense that bots are all over it.)
So, does anyone have any ideas to fairly reward real testnet participants?

AT LONG LAST, THE WALLET IS LIVE!⚡️
Chrome Web Store has finally approved the Modulr wallet, so now you can try out our testnet firsthand. Stay tuned for our first official Modulr Mission happening very soon😋
Steps:
1. Go to chromewebstore.google.com/search/Modulr%… and download the wallet. Create a password.
2. In the Modulr wallet, click the settings icon⚙️ and add one of the following node addresses to it, then hit save:

🅱️http://3.233.185.48:5332
3. Go to testnet.explorer.modulr.cloud/faucet and paste in your wallet address. Hit "Get test coins"
4. Check your wallet again and the tokens should be there almost instantaneously. You can always hit "Refresh" to double check.
5. If you want to try sending tokens to a friend's address (feel free to share them in the replies here or in telegram😉), then simply hit send & paste their address, set the amount you want to send, adjust the fee to anything >0, and hit send!
^^Do all this and you're officially recorded on the Modulr blockchain🥳
P.S. - this is just the first iteration of the wallet. We'll be adding more features to improve the UX and functionality (like multi-chain support) in the near future.

A quick word on $eMDR, since too often teams get caught up in product development and forget about their community.
We fully acknowledge the importance of heavy volume and big green candlesticks. If we wanted a quick fix, we could pay some telegram groups or KOLs and get that right away, but those gains would be short-lived and ultimately just waste our money.
So the best way to deploy capital right now is into a kickass product—this is what will bring us to revenue quickest, which allows us to hire more team members, expand marketing, and grow.
Keep in mind:
🟨We already have a hardworking team of ten people, seven of which are engineers.
⬛️We're using SCRUM methodology with 2 week sprints, and we meet everyday.
🟨We recently got some GREAT news about a partnership that everyone in the world has heard of (not web3) that we're just waiting on the contract for.
⬛️We're getting constant validation from engineers we speak to that the product we're building would solve their problems.
Understand that robotics is inevitable.
--Even if the robotics niche doesn't take off in crypto, our revenue model will buy back the $eMDR token.👀
Now, back to work.

Did you miss it? There's an insight from 1:13-2:06 in the video that we're calling our Salesforce moment.
The Salesforce Moment:
It's the idea that currently there is no standardized platform/app for robot control at a time when robots are exploding in popularity.
Nearly every manufacturer and robotics team uses different softwares or interfaces to operate their robots - and those are often built in-house.
Which means that every engineer has to learn something new and make special arrangements for each robot as the team grows. That'd be like being a developer and having to learn a new programming language every time a new product got added, or every time you switched jobs. It's not scalable.
Salesforce was the first big name in CRM (customer relationship management) software. Every company needs sales—but they don't need to develop their own internal sales software to track leads. They can just pay a subscription service to Salesforce or Hubspot, etc. and focus on developing product and selling.
^^We're doing the same thing for robotics teams, but instead of taking care of the sales process, we're standardizing the infrastructure for operating robots so that anyone can use our platform again and again with ANY robot, in ANY environment.
It's a beautiful user experience that helps robot teams scale.
By the way, @salesforce is worth $215,000,000,000.🤫

First off, thank you to EVERYONE who participated. We got a ton of amazing submissions which is great for spreading the word about our mission (and $eMDR), but it also showed how strong our community is becoming.
As web3 veterans know, a die-hard community occupying a niche (like robotics) before it goes mainstream is how you make it big.

Something no one is talking about:
Defense robots.
After doom scrolling on TikTok about our literal doom, it occurred to me that many countries and wealthy individuals will likely want to have robots for defense, to guard their house or their businesses from intruders, rioters, etc.
I could see @Modulr_Robotics' tech being very useful for such a circumstance.
Robots are designed to be autonomous (that's the point), but when autonomy fails and you need to take action quick, or control multiple robots at once, then you need a system that can reliably connect you to your robots.
Note that I hope it never comes to this.☮️
