@NixAshes You can solve the dirty clothesline issue by installing a retractable clothesline. All the other stuff is impossible to prevent. I love how clothes smell when they’re dried outside. Good luck!

Used to dry almost all of our laundry on a clothesline. It's far from easier (there's no 'y' in that word, btw). You have to clean the line, lug the wet laundry out to it, hang it all up (which is usually over your head), hope that you've got enough clothesline for the amount of laundry you're drying, and then wait for hours. During those hours, you get to cross your fingers and hope that none of the following happens: 1) rain, 2) swampass levels of humidity, 3) bird shit, 4) tree crap falling from that big ass oak tree over yonder (hahahahahaha clothesline during oak season 😭), 5) wind kicking up dust getting all over your underwear, 6) the neighbor mowing his grass + wind turning your skirt into a grass skirt, 7) oops that clip wasn't on there as well as I thought, 8) any number of other fuckin' things. When it's FINALLY dry, now you've gotta go out and get it and haul it back in. In contrast....the dryer is right fuckin' there. I'll stick with that unless I really really have some reason not to, thanks.
