@HankFrank @BiggestComeback If you ease into running with a proper walk-run program or similar there is absolutely no reason for it to feel unnatural for any amount of time.

@BiggestComeback Maybe not 6 months. But the idea that it’s going to feel natural right away sets people up to quit when it doesn’t. Better to know it’s coming and push through it than to think something is wrong with you.

Nobody tells new runners that the first 6 months are going to suck. Everything hurts, nothing feels good, and you’re convinced you’re not built for it. Then somewhere around month 7 or 8 something clicks and you can’t imagine your life without it. Most people quit at month 4.
