Managing this was an awesome experience. I am very proud of the tremendous work done by our staff and volunteers to make this event a success! Alongside Harris and Baldwin, we targeted four flippable down-ballot races. Real world organizing is hard work, but this is how we win!

@magi_jay People who are downplaying this don't realize that the general sentiment is "Yeah, that tracks, he's a sleaze." It wasn't known to be this explosive, but there have always been rumblings about him making women (including a former staffer I know) uncomfortable.

The claims contained in this story & those reported by CNN are incredibly well-substantiated. There are multiple alleged victims who describe a similar pattern of behavior across incidents. The victims made contemporaneous disclosures to friends, a boyfriend, & medical staff

There is time for Eric Swalwell to do the right thing and drop out of this race. He needs to focus on these allegations because the reports are disgusting. MULTIPLE women have come forward and survivors include college students, interns, and ex-staffers. And for those Democrats defending him but calling for the release of the Epstein files… please stop and consider who you are. Who WE are. We are NOT THEM. We are NOT THEM.

I was having a conversation earlier today about gubernatorial candidates and mentioned Swalwell’s sleaziness towards women staffers contributing to my lack of support. This is far more explosive than anything I heard, but this is fully in-line with his known (lack of) character.

I don’t believe people in D.C. thought he was capable of sexual assault, but rumors circulated that he was a creepy creep while still married. There are many cheaters in D.C., so it’s somewhat of a norm. There are boundaries he allegedly crossed and that info is now out there.

Ideology doesn’t matter all that much to me right now. I have my preferences but I will vote for endorse the Democratic Party candidates that win their primaries, whether they’re centrists or progressives or whatever. I’m ok with the democratic process.

The point was not to demonize gruesome footage, but correctly note that the prolonged consumption without an effective outlet can lead to people towards problematic engagement.
