I couldn’t agree more. When @UConnFootball played in the Big East, the place was rock’n for every game. #justwin and they will show up. People who think otherwise, typically complain about everything.
This Is UConn Country@UConnSN

The 2 best college bball programs (@UConnWBB & @UConnMBB) play 50% of their games off campus, in downtown Hartford. But when topic of @UConnFootball gets brought up, would-be P4 conferences view Huskies playing off-campus @PWStadium a red flag It. Does. Not. Matter.

How many times do you think you’ve said “Karaban two seconds. Mullins tosses it up. OHHHHHHHH. ITS GOOD. WITH POINT THREE. UCONN GOES IN FRONT.” in your head in the last month? I’m probably at 500+

On this date in NHL history (April 13, 1997), the Hartford Whalers play their last game ever against the Tampa Bay Lightning from the Civic Center. The Whalers would win the game 2-1 as longtime captain Kevin Dineen scored the final goal in franchise history #LongLiveTheWhale🐳

@gellbelly Had more to do with inability to make the pass than lack of people to catch and finish.

One small critical observation about this year’s team. The 23 & 24 teams both had high flyers & players that could just go out & get it. AJax, Samson, Donovan - the lob set was a staple, it opened so many games & set the tone& added a huge dimension to their offense. I don’t recall seeing a single lob this year, either by design or opportunistic.

It feels objectively insane to have a ref from the Big East championship game also on the National Championship when there’s a team in common

@courtneylaynebr Before my fellow UConn fans get upset, the full quote is pretty respectful of Tarris. He was just making an observation after giving Reed a ton of credit. Put your weapons down.

@BackInStorrs @DanWolken People are way too dramatic…he knew exactly what he was doing. And if Holly Rowe is right, he did all of that to take the pressure and spotlight off of his team and how they played. That wasn’t emotional - he knew actually what he was doing.

I hope Geno has people who are going to sit him down and tell him that if this is what it’s going to look like as he gets into his mid-70s, it might be time to exit stage left. I am skeptical that’s the case.
Lindsay Gibbs@linzsports

In Fort Worth, I asked Geno how he prepares his team for adversity. "As far as adversity goes, I would say the adversity is me, right?" On Friday, that was prophetic. On Geno Auriemma, unravelling at the seams in inexcusable, embarrassing fashion: cbssports.com/womens-college…

A telling stat from SC’s win over UConn. SC avg 3rd qtr was 22-14. Opened with a 12-2 run to take control. Every time the Huskies got close, the Gamecocks had answers.

Now I don’t normally question Geno’s coaching. But if he’s going to play Jana early minutes against South Carolina, why the hell wasn’t he giving her early minutes the entire season😅
