@from1to3000000 I had a ton of commons, had to sell them in the 30s because margin was getting very tight when everything else plummeted. Shares would have been +200%. Oh well. Luckily I was able to hold on to these at least.

I have over 5x on these $LQDA June 12 $50 calls and have sold 10 of them.

I got long $WGS today at $40.24. Not a timely posting as I have been walking back from the cafe. Insider recently added to a large existing position buying 1.2mm more shares. Stock is beaten to a pulp down from $175. GeneDx ... exam and genome test fast growing but margin pressures this quarter. Some say there was a shift in biz mix.

If oil prices remain this high or go higher for a sustained period, stocks are going to start doing poorly. It's just a fact, and worth considering. My prior was much closer to "quick operation/nothing ever happens" than "protracted conflict/global recession" at the start of this. I'm now closer to like 50-50. But in terms of stocks I feel like downside risk is quite high here. There isn't real panic but it can come. We can feel "numb" to downside because equities have held up, likely through some combination of prepositioning, hedging, rotation, and retail dip buying. But correlations really can increase and retail can eventually get tired, e.g. if gas prices continue to spike. For whatever reason, to me, this weekend and the coming week feels like the time when the involved parties begin attempting navigate towards the former or fully accept the latter, especially with the Xi-Trump meeting looming. None of this is particularly useful or actionable insight but just the thoughts in my head at this point.

Might have to start ripping off @SixSigmaCapital with his “how cooked am I” posts and this one will be about that stupidly named AppLovin $APP. I also know @buccocapital can’t stand the name. Check my past posts about it. I started buying at $516 a week or so ago. Yes, I’m the buffoon who bought $U Unity instead in 2022 because, I just couldn’t get past the name despite AppLovin having clear evidence of superior management, even back then. You know, Unity sounded corporate and professional, so bought that instead. Worked wonderfully for me! As you know, today’s sell off - which includes $RBLX $TTWO but not $EA - was because Google released Project Genie, an AI that allows VR game development. Attached future 3 year analyst growth estimates from @gurufocus @GurufocusC As previously mentioned, strongly recommend this nearly 2-hour podcast about AppLovin stock by game developers who use it. Not stupid finance people like you and I. So I ask the question… how cooked am I with $APP here?

I cut my hand pretty bad. No, not from catching the falling knives of SaaS stocks (but that too). Rather, I cut my fingertip pretty bad chopping some stir fry last night. Always must cook two versions - his and hers - extreme spice and no spice. Ghost peppers galore = almost enough flavor. With finger, not going to post much as long as I can’t type on a real keyboard. Phone keyboard takes too long. Everything software on sale so hard to pinpoint favorites. I am buying across the board. $MSFT $AXON $PANW $CNSWF $CSU $CRWD $INTU $NOW $NET $RBRK $CRCL $COIN (remember their USDC cut from Circle), too many tickers to list. Dumped $ESS and $FRT which were exact Covid low buys. Also sold $SBAC while keeping $AMT. Sells from the income portfolio. $TPL was small buy and up ~30% in a few weeks, too small of a buy of 30 shares, so I sold. Dumped $CROX from the $70s and some $DECK. Need to concentrate on conviction software names. What are you buying and why?
